Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Les Saintes, the harbour is stunningly beautiful and it is a UNESCO site, awarded for being one of the most beautiful harbours in the world.

Guadeloupe's Les Saintes is a hidden paradise in the Caribbean. The beauty of this island is simply enchanting, offering a perfect blend of natural wonders and tranquility. From pristine beaches to lush landscapes, every corner is a postcard-worthy scene. A true gem awaiting discovery in the heart of the Caribbean.

if you want to find a place where the world stress has no meaning a little corner of paradise Les Saintes is the right place for you. Don't worry about to lock the door of your home since none try to enter. the children are free to play in the Terre de Haut square in the evening, there are no cars and everyone knows each other in the village. We 've spent 2 weeks there, and everyone in Guadeloupe said us is too much since Terre de Haut is very little - about 12 km square. But you can choose between 8 beaches and they are all stunning. my favorite is la Pompierre. you can snorkel almost in all beaches surrounded by fish of every color, lobsters. For the first time I've seen a seahorse.. The most known beach is Pain a Sucre, a little version of Rio de Janeiro bay. Here you can find the best snorkeling of the island, but the beach is very little and crowed, especially during the week end. the best time to visit is noon when the daily tourists are at the lunch, and the boat tours aren't still arrived.
we loved also the village, with many restaurants and good food.
People are always gentle and after a week you begin to know your neighbors.
it is worth to spend more than a day here.

It's my first time here. Did some grocery shopping got some French baguettes. So a lot of cheeses and salami's. Real ham without sodium nitrates in it. People seem to be friendly need to speak a little friendship possible. But you can get pretty much anything you need here. Had a great time and I'm hoping to come back.

Love the islands of Les Saintes.
The Saintes have all the elements of island life with all the spoils and charm one would expect.

Terre-de-Haut is beautiful. Food is affordable and tasty. Vegetarian options are *not* on menus, but every restaurant we went to was willing to make something unique and delicious to accommodate. In Point-a-Pitre, racial tensions are palpable, and there is unofficial segregation. Being polite and deferring to locals seemed to ease interactions. Definitely not a place to go without knowing some French! Be prepared for mosquitoes, and perhaps being unable to access some beaches due to seaweed (an intermittent issue).

We spent two days here, and I have to say it was one of the best Caribbean experiences. The shops and cafes in the main town were friendly and helpful, and of a much better standard than in many places.

We hired electric bikes to tour the island, taking in both coastlines, and a superb visit to Fort Napoleon. Everything is within easy reach.

This was a great find. Small village feel, and for the most part very NOT crowded. However, we witnessed one ferry disembark about 100 people one morning, and by the time we got to town, there were no scooters or golfcarts to rent to explore the island. Be forewarned to make arrangments early. In town are several good restaurants (the best for lunch being Cafe de la Marine) and many shops (don't miss Love and La Maogany).

Les Saintes is a little piece of heaven. It’s quite ungentrified, with loads of nature and “real” islanders living an islander life. Perfect for a few days away. But you have to speak French and know some locals to get the best experience

Les Saintes is a small island (2 actually) that offers amazing scenery and wonderful beaches. It's a great place to spend 4 days of R&R, enjoying the beach and living the simple life. What is amazing here is that at the time of writing this post, les saintes is relatively still not a place for mass tourism and still offers a "real" or not overly polished experience, even if many tourists come here every day. To quickly go around the island, I suggest booking an electric car which is provided by a couple of shops on the island, it's not very expensive and allows you to see more in less time while enjoying the views.
