Beautiful Island, Wonderful area and a lovely experience
Feb. 2020
We stayed two nights on the Island, It is lovely! - be prepared to walk or hire bikes or scooters (But these are too noisy!) - take your time to visit Fort Napoleon - really interesting but leave to get there early as it gets so hot! Don't bother with Pain du Sucre Beach, instead head for Les Pompiers - it has palms, picnic benches and the most beautiful bay!
Even Swimming on the beach at Anse du Fonde is lovely, followed up by breakfast at one of the Boulangeries - Wonderful Experience

We visited in the dry season. It was hot and dry. But the views were gorgeous and the people are very nice.

Wonderful little island

We did a day trip (9 - 5) taking the ferry from Trois-Rivière. 1/2 hour crossing. Made the mistake of renting a scooter. Should have gotten a golf cart. Beautiful beaches around the island and lots of restaurants. Weather far superior to that on Grande Terre where we are staying.

very pleasant beach, some snorkeling, relax
Jan. 2020
We walked from the small jetty along the beach towards a more rocky area that was good for snorkeling. we found some shade under a palm tree and the sea was clean,,clear and warm so swimming was a delight. There are quite a few bars and shops but beware most shops close from 1 til 3 for lunch

Cozy island!

Recommend you to start your visit with a trip up to Fort Napoleon if your'e there for the day. It gets hot fast up there and if you go by foot up the hill. The fort closes at 12. Disapointing that all the exhibitions don't have english signs since we dont know any french! Gorgeous views from up there! Nice restaurants and cafe's everywhere. Cute, but very expensive, boutiques. Bring swimwear since the island is very dry and soo hot!

Great place and people. Go if you don’t want nothing to do, that’s the whole point...
walk, eat, snorkel, swim and just ... be.

Colors from their sunny island
Jan. 2020
where surely life was sweet on the rising tide, decent snorkeling here and there, parrot and trumpet fish, fan and brain coral a bit, all the islands in the area have old forts and colorful hillside houses and small beaches but here the stores on the little street at the dock are a better class than other Carribean, no aggressive hucksters, priced accordingly though

We enjoyed our stay here in Les Saints very much. We stayed a couple of days, moored on a bouy in the bay and just relaxed.

We loved this totally French island with it's small streets and small shops that didn't feel touristy.

I shopped at a small cotton shop called Martine Cotten/Galerie des Saintes. The cotton is sourced from Guadaloupe and so beautiful it was hard to stop shopping. Most places speak English well, are accommodating and very friendly. It's an easy place to be.
