    Beautiful beach!
Beautiful beach and my 4 month old son’s first time in the water. Water is pretty and the sea isn’t too rough at all. There are tons of lounge chairs available for rent ($5USD each) and umbrellas. Nice guys even go to the little market vendors behind you and order food for you. We enjoyed hanging out there and socializing with the locals. Sunsets are beautiful. Highly recommend.

One of the Best Beaches in the Caribbean
One of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. 2 mile stretch of soft powdery white sand with warm turquoise waters. Probably the most popular beach on the island but it wasn't crowded when I visited in the late afternoon. Lounge chair and umbrella rental available. Make sure you stop by Esther's Bar for some refreshments and some local flavor.

    Fabulous
Love the beach so much we ended up spending 2 days there!! We parked at the lot right next to the spice market. Highly recommend renting lounge chairs from the gentleman in the area right in front of spice market. He was so sweet, literally brought me a shirt and had it with him after I had told him how much I liked it- THEN HE GAVE IT TO ME!! Waters is clear, calm, and wonderful. Beach is clean and food is close. The wraps at the fish pot were outstanding.

    Great Grenadian Beach
We had a fantastic day at grand anse beach and can’t wait to come back. Chairs were $10 each. We sat under a tree. There were plenty of bar servers on the beach. The water was warm enough for swimming and not too rough. We took a cab from town $10 per person and the water taxi back $5 per person. I can’t wait to visit Grenada again.

    Grande Anse Beach in Grenada
We went to this beach with a water taxi which took 15 minutes and cost $5. It is a nice long beach, but as you arrive there locals try to sell you chairs for $5 each. There are also bars and services nearby, so beach employees walk by with menus and bring you food and drinks. You can definitely hear music playing from the nearby bars.

    Beautiful Beach
Wow this is a beautiful place! Huge, beautiful, white sand beach without a ton of traffic. There were 2 of us, later joined by another couple, and it was like we had the beach to ourselves. There’s a beer shack nearby, which comes in handy too. Any trip to Grenada should include a day at Grand Anse!

    Beautiful
I’ve wanted to see this beach since I read about it about 15 years ago. Unfortunately the reef is dead so no snorkelling opportunities (according to staff in our hotel). We went and walked its length and enjoyed the beauty of it. When we went there were lots of families and groups all socialising. It was quite busy. But not unenjoyable.

Some Beaches Are Worth The Visit
The best way to compare this is that this beach is the Destin, FL of the Caribbean. The sand is white and the water is clear! You are able to watch the fish swimming around you it is so clear. Grand Anse is just amazing. The waves are easy to wade into it and there was not a bad current or concern for rip tides while we were there. Bring cash with you if you are interested in purchasing food and drink from the few onsite vendors there. There is a restaurant 'Umbrellas', however, we did not patron it. You can purchase a couple of lounge beach chairs while on site. There is an older gentleman by the beach whom you can get them setup for a nominal fee. He is also the same guy selling out drinks out of his beach side store front. Just take a few hours and come to relax and enjoy if you are visiting Grenada.

Visited this beach via a water taxi for the day , cost of taxi from Grenada was $10 return.
It was a tropical rain day so the umbrellas on the beach came in handy however it was super busy and water conditions average compared to other beaches we found.
Sun bed x2 and umbrella we paid $25 so a bit expensive compared to others we had visited also with lots of people selling drinks and things.
Nice to see but too busy for us.

I suppose a total of three cruise ships docked at St George’s should have been a bit of a red flag. Grand Anse Bay is nearby as the crow flies but the traffic made for a tortuously slow drive there. Not the best of starts and the experience continued on foot. The beach was heaving with visitors looking for restful time – no such luck. The first shock was the cost - $25 for two sunbeds and an umbrella. The vast majority of punters were there for a few hours but no concession. We did get benefit of free wifi but judging by the comments of those around us, the service was an illusion. The icing on the cake was that if we wanted to use the toilets in the beach bar that would be $1 per visit. Pure and simple greed. I assume the business model for guys taking drinks orders was working on a commission basis. As a consequence, there was ridiculous over-provision. We were asked if we wanted a drink at least once a minute for the whole time we were there - beyond annoying. I would like to say that a dip in the sea was a pleasant diversion, sadly not. Guys trying to sell boat trips etc., cruised by a few metres out from the shore on the lookout for customers. Their craft chugged along as they scanned the beach for customers, rather than keep an eye out for swimmers. A situation that was fraught with potential danger. Overall, a wretched time. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Boarded Wilson the Grenadian cab driver’s shuttle/cab for Grande Anse beach. We left the cruise pier 20 minutes after we boarded the cab/shuttle because Wilson was trying to fill up his cab. We bought a round trip fare which was a mistake. it was cheaper $30 instead of $40 for 2 one ways, but it locked us in to return to the pier with Wilson at the specified time. Wilson picked us up as promised at grand anse at 2 then drove 10 min south to pickup other passengers at mariposa beach. We waited in the hot cab 45 minutes for his other fare. we learned later that wilson told the Mariposa passengers that their pickup time would be 3:00 and that he would pickup the grand anse beach goers at 2:00 drop them at the pier and then pickup the Mariposa people at 3:00 obviously that didn’t happen.
Lessons learned:
1) don’t ride with Wilson
2) don’t get suckered into a round trip fare
3) take a smaller cab. stick with cars and minivans not 24 seat shuttles like Wilson’s

Grand Anse Beach was nice. water was the warmest of the cruise. The beach was busy but didn’t seem overly crowded. we were close to the spice market. Two lounges and an umbrella were $30. lounges were clise together but the rows of lounges were well spaced. the beach is large so walking a 100 feet in either direction you could escape the crowd by the spice market. we walked to coconut beach for lunch which was excellent i had the catch of the day Marlin and my wife had fish sticks and a couple of drinks for about $55. however we waited over an hour for our food and the waitress was not very friendly. there were also food vendors at the spice market if you don’t have the time to wait.

We took a local taxi around the island to a few local spots and ended up at this beautiful beach!
You can see the cruise ship from the beach. The beach has beautiful white sand, crystal blue waters, and just overall beautiful view! When you get to the beach you will be greeted by one of the locals that work the beach area. They will get you a chair $5 and umbrella for $5, or ask to be put under a tree if any available then you have save $5 on the umbrella. My husband and I shared a chair because we spend the entire time in the water.
There is food, booze and non alcoholic drinks available. We negotiated a bucket of 6 beers for $15 instead of $20. We didnt get a deal on food. They even bring you beer to the waters edge. Definitely a great spot to check out. Sorry I didnt take any photos of the beach!

The beach itself is beautiful However it can get very crowded. We were on a cruise so we took a water taxi to the beach. You don't need to pay for any tour stuff. It is $10 pp roundtrip on the taxi and for $15 you get 2 chairs and an umbrella.
Each"section has it's people who want you to use their services
they leave you alone if you tell them to do so
A beautiful area and very relaxing

We visited this beach on a day trip whilst visiting the Island on our cruise. It was absolutely packed with tourists. Despite this, the beach itself was great. There were a few places to eat and drink and buy some locally produced goods and souvenirs. There is a toilet facility or should I say rest room as it is advertised but it will cost you a dollar each time you visit.

We walked around the port and enjoyed the views! We decided to head tonGrand Anse (since we had been there before). This time we took public transport! If you walk out of the port and go left (pass all of the outdoor vendors and go about 1/4 mile) you’ll come to the town’s bus depot!! The locals are super friendly and will direct you! There are a specific set of buses (super small transport- maybe 15 people tops). The fare was only $2USD per person one way. And all you have to do is tell the driver to give you a heads up when your stop for Grand Anse comes. It’s about 25 mins (because of the crazy traffic).

The beach is beautiful!! Half moon bay with crystal clear water! We laid out our towels and enjoyed snacks and drinks we had packed in our backpack! We spent a few hours soaking in the sun!

Hardly any peddlers in this beach.

I count Grand Anse in one of the best beaches I've been to.
It's easy accessible from St. George's with water taxi, regular taxi or public mini vans. I recommend the mini vans as they're an economic and reliable option. Regular taxi will ask around 20$ one way, while the mini van costs 1$ pp and you feel the local vibe. It takes around 15-20 min.
The beach is stunning - white powder sand with crystal clear turquoise sea, all that with great views of St. George's bay across. There're sunbeds and umbrellas to rent, as well plenty of free space. Many restaurants and bars, along with an open air mini mall somewhere around the middle. Enjoy this Caribbean paradise.

Very nice beach. We came in on a cruise and someone suggested taking the water taxi from the port to the beach. It’s only about 15 min ride. They were asking for $5 usd per person.
There is a ride sharing app called Haylup and we tried it on the way back. It was actually much cheaper (we have 5 in our family) than the water taxi. It took a little longer cause there was traffic but I preferred it.

Grand Anse beach is about as nice as you can get. Nice sand, beautiful water.
You can snorkel there but not much to see.
Lots of trees for shade.
There’s a mall and shops about 7-8 blocks away if you want to go for a walk.

My wife and I were at Grand Anne beach in late January. The beach is very beautiful and long with stunning sea views. There is plenty of room on the beach for both activity and quiet. You can take the water taxi from the cruise port for a lovely ride on the water for only $7.00 roundtrip. We loved Geand Anse beach!
