A really nice, not so long walk. We manage to climb (round-trip) around 3 hrs but we were in a bit hurry going down because of the coming rain. Hiking shoes are recommended, better do not do it in sandals so you could enjoy scenic views instead of watching your steps. When good weather you can see the whole island... More

We went with a guide, which wasn't necessary. The path is clear, but needs a bit of maintenance as there as some very muddy spots. A walking stick is useful. The path is narrow, and very steep so those with a fear of heights or any health condition may not do well. The views are breathtaking, and the sections where... More

We visited the Grand Etang National Park. We arrived at 3PM and the booth for fees was already closed along with the historical house. The fee isn't very expensive for entry, so hire a driver or rent a car vs. paying the tour operators. The walk up the hill was nice through the tropical settings. The drop in temperature is... More

Unfortunately the weather wasn't optimal for our hike of Qua Qua -- overcast and kinda rainy. But, we embarked anyway. Overall the trail is in good shape. Steep in places. Quite slippery at times (rain!), so I highly recommend hiking shoes. Though we didn't get much in the way of views, we enjoyed the meander through the Grand Etang ecosystem... More

The Mt.Qua-Qua trail is sometimes rated as among the best in the Caribbean. I cannot judge that, but it certainly is a very scenic hike along a good trail that however needs good attention as it mostly follows a narrow ridge with steep drops to both sides. IIn case of rain the trail can become slippery. The starting point can... More

The hike requires a degree of physical fitness. Ensure you have good walking shoes, water and snacks and poles if required. My husband and I did the hike with a guide in tow. The path to the top was straight forward but the benefits of our guide Vaughan Francis (tadventure@hotmail.com) provided us with information on the surrounding geography as well... More

About an hour hike up from Grand Etang, with optional trails to Annandale & Concord waterfalls. 2nd highest peak on the island, cool, misty mountain climate, dense jungle vegetation, well-maintained trail.

This was a hike with a view. I can say I climbed a mountain. Some of the path is not difficult to maneuver where other areas are narrow and covered over in grass. It was wet from a rain shower and we did get muddy. You should have proper hiking shoes or at least water shoes on to do this.... More

Myself and 3 friends (all relatively athletic and decent hikers) went on this adventure and it was one of the coolest things I've ever done. We took the 1 bus to St George's and hopped on the 6 to Grand Etang Lake. From there, we just followed the sign up to Mt Qua Qua! We did this without a guide,... More
