On arriving at this fantastic Island we were greeted by "Welcome Home"... now thats a great start to any holiday .... and it's great to see the staff still remember you from the previous times.... and anything that you require is always sorted (well apart from a pint of the black stuff) but hey.... we can do without that for... If you didnt book your stay here ,no need to to visit this island because you are not even wanted or able to enjoy no sites unles you only interest is the beach, becsuse this is the only thing you are able to do and you'll have to pay for your beach chair and umbrella.

Not sure if we went at a bad time, but we walked over once while staying at the hotel on the island. I was not impressed at all. The water looked as dark as a New England USA beach and there was trash washing ashore. So disappointed reality did not match the pictures. Did not even put my towel down.

Visited Bacardi Island in Sept and again in November for my birthday. Just an amazing place. The sea is beautiful, bright turquoise and warm and the sand is white. We had a lovely meal just by the beach in a snack bar - best chicken we've ever had! Will definitely return to this paradise island.

We were on the private side of the island and one day went over to the dark side to see what is was like. The stalls looks very interesting and we would have brought something but the sales guys on the stools would not stop trying to sell us something we wanted to look without their help. So ended up... We arrived at this island as part of our day tour around the Samana area... it had been raining the whole day and by this point (10 hours in) we really just wanted to go back to the hotel... So this review is probably quite biased. We were supposed to be on the island for over an hour but we... More
