Wonderful cave and iguana farm. Make certain to have Dominican pesos, price is $300 RD per person, or if you pay in US dollars, it is $10 per person. Nice savings for 2 people if you have Dominican pesos. Nice cave with Taino Indian cave paintings. On a hot day the caves are very refreshing. Guide will speak in both... More

We spent a day in Cueva de la maravilla, what an amazing place. It is considered one of San Pedro de Macoris D.R most beautiful places to visit. The history of the Taino Indian, their writings on the walls was incredible. The height of the caverns, the beauty of the natural stone is something I will remember always. The staff... More

Went here and felt like the place was trying to rip us off when it came time to pay. We picked up a book of things to do around the island at the Avis car rental. Found the beautiful caves inside the attraction book. List ed this place and showed a $5 entry cost. We cashed in our US dollar... More

We bargained with locals outside the gate for a tour for 6 people ($30 pp) around La Romana and included the caves. If you don't have many people it's $150 per taxi so try to go in a group and make sure to say you want to go here. For $10 pp, it's a great deal. 45 minute+ tour into... More

Read reviews about people being disappointed because there were sensor lights & path railings. Found this to be very useful & helped to include all types of visitors. Great for any walker, no hiking experience required. Beautiful, peaceful - a natural wonder.

Very interesting natural attraction. Ancient caves in the middle of Santo Domingo. Full of stalagmites and stalactites. Also a series of small lakes at various levels. There are many stairs, so this is not for those who have trouble with stairs. Deceptive. The stairs come in stages on the way down, but all at the same time on the way... More

The caves are beautiful and well maintained, except for a small area where some vandalism took place. Te guides are well informed so it makes it worthwhile.

Went with friends from the Dominican Republic, it is a extraordinary beautiful cave. Not a lot of American tourists but well worth the trip. Very educational and staff very friendly, staff speaks many languages including English.

We went as a family to see this via recommendation from a friendly cab driver. It was quite a treat and especially because it was practically empty so we received personalized tour of underground caves with beautiful Taino pictorials and natural stone formations. Our tour guide Roberto was very knowledgeable, accommodating and helpful. They also have a large Iguana reserve.... More
