The 'cigar-factory-tour' at de Garcia was an impressive experience and highly recommended for any person who wants to know more about cigars or the Dominican way to organize and work. Stevens, the guide, was a good help to explain all the facets of the industry.

My wife and I decided to break away from our Punta Cana resort and see another city in the DR. Utilizing the bus system, we made the trip to La Romana and enjoyed seeing the city. However, the highlight of our trip that day was our tour of the Tabacalera de Garcia. When we arrived at the facility, it looked... More

I booked a trip to the Dominican Republic on hotel and airline points and the highlight of my trip was the tour of Tabacalera de Garcia cigar factory. I've enjoyed smoking cigars for years but to see it firsthand, in the place where they make all of my favorites, was amazing. I would highly recommend it to any and all... More

Just returned back from a trip to Bayahibe and had to go to the TdGarcia cigar factory before we left. Good decision. Personal and highly-interactive tour conducted by Stevens was excellent (thank you!). Bottom line, the facility is huge. And considering the volume of tobacco / cigars that go thru this place, the quality is really impressive - have a... More

As somewhat of a cigar connoisseur I was really excited to see the largest hand-rolled cigar factory in the world first-hand! The tour takes you right in the middle of the action where you get an up close view of how skilled these artisans are. There are no ropes, no railings and no guards. I was right next to a... More

I really enjoyed the cigar factory tour at Tabacalera de Garcia. The tour was about an hour in length and walked you through every phase of the cigar making process in their huge facility. The tour guide was knowlegeable and really was interested in our group having a positive experience. This place is huge, the world's largest handmade cigar factory.... More

The size of the factory and the energy within is extraordinary, the tour really opened my heart to cigars.

We entered the property through the employee parking area where there were hundreds of motor bikes parked row after row. As we entered the building we were greeted by a taller gentleman who introduced us to our guide, a younger local whose father had worked in the plant for 38 years. Our guide (whose name escapes me) was as well... More

Truly a tour worth taking. Run by one of the cigar industry's most respected blenders (Jose Seijas), the tour gives an up close look at the making of one of the few remaining hand-made artisanal products, cigars. The aromas are incredible. Nicest people. Would recommend for even non-cigar smokers, but for cigar aficionados, you will be in heaven.

We had the privilege of having a tour by Enrica Seijas, the son of Jose (himself). What an awesome factory.. the largest handmade cigar factory on the planet. Over 4700 workers make nearly 70K a day for benefit of cigar aficionados like ourselves. One gets to see the entire manufacturing process from hand rolling cigars for the full range of... More
