We took the train ride because it looked so cute. But honestly, unless you have children - or elderly persons that have limited walking capabilities - this is not worth it. Best to stroll the area on foot.

The tour itself takes about 20 minutes. You get told interesting things about the city and it is a nice way to have a look around without doing all the walking. I would recommend .

if you don't want to pay for the tour guide in zona colonial who BTW ask 40 us $ for 1 hour you can go by this small train around :)

Good activity and made a relieving relief from walking all day. Not too good for the hard of hearing even more so if your sat by people who talked over everyone and of course the sound system wasn't that great. Seemed like we were hopscotching...More

I found the best place to purchase lovely rings, bracelets, etc was near the market square from the street vendors. Street vendors are licensed and are easily identifiable.

You can take a Taxi cab, Uber is the best option. It is about 15 minutes drive. The ticket office is just where the train departs.. Hope it helps...
