Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Museum itself was super interesting. But has some things to be changed. Workers made us exit 20 minutes before museum timetable. Moreover, they also have left their working positions earlier. Museum wasnt clean. A lot of dust, portrets were hanging crookedly.

Palace of the Royal Audience (Tribunal) . Located on the beautiful street Das Damas. Audioguide is included in the entrance. It was where the main government offices of the 16th century were located by order of the Crown of Castile, reign of Ferdinand II of Aragon.

We enjoyed every minute of this museum. We learned a lot from the museum itself and from a family member that gave us a lot of background info about Santo Domingo. Great photo opportunities here as well.

This was the most interesting of all the museums in the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo. It has three wings filled with artifacts and information on the history of the Dominican Republic. Admission is 100 pesos per person and includes and audio tour- however, I did not find the audio description very detailed. If you can read Spanish, there are lots of material to read. If you are interested in history, this is the museum to visit - definitely not as crowded as Alcázar de Colon.

This rating means neutral, not average as we hadn't a chance to visit it.
During our 3 days in SD it was closed all the time without any notice, but a short inscription in Spanish I did not understand.

This is supposed to be Santo Domingo's best museum yet it falls short of what you expect of a city that prides itself on being the first European settlement in America..Pickings are slim and the objects on display make you beg for more.A few period manuscripts ( good luck navigating them) justify the 100 pesos entrance fee.Go early because they close at 5pm.

There are audio guides for English speakers, which was the bulk of my interaction
This museum is HUGE compared to others in Zona Colonial. If you want to take photos, bring a friend, not much selfie potential.
Very cool and interesting to go to. If you aren't interested in history that's cool, skip this one.

I am interested in having my wedding reception at the Museo De Las Casas Reales but live abroad, so need an email contact to coordinate a tour and pricing for when I visit in September. I cannot find any such contact information online. Does anyone have an email address or a web direct to send me to? Thank you.
