We walked to El Obelisco. It is definitely and interesting site. We did not take photos for fear of being targeted by thieves.

I passed several time this colorful building, it looks beautiful, just had no time to stop or make pictures. was too much traffic also.
It's a nice monument, but it's right in the middle of Washington Blvd, a very busy, noisy street. It's hard to even get a decent photo of it, as you can see by how many people have tried.
Cool to see but not much more than that. We saw it from a taxi and then when we walked by. It's interesting but not much more than something fun to look at briefly.
The obelisk sits in the middle of a busy roundabout along the Malecon. The paintings on it are interesting but faded. It's not a destination by itself and you'll almost certainly see it if you're in the area of the Malecon.
Big obelisque with coloured pictures of indigenous people. You can come and watch but it is not anything worth closer attention.

Did a drive by on return to hotel after Tres Ojos and city tour. Interesting to see, but I wouldn't make a special trip.
There is a certain visual appeal to this monument but it isn't totally unique. I like the colors which lend to the Latin flair.
