Steeply sloping pinnacles and a cluster of coral and marine life make this a great dive.

Where Caribbean Sea Meets Atlantic Ocean
Jan. 2020
Absolutely perfect place! When I look at our week long trip to Dominica I think this might have been actually my favorite stop!

The drive to Scotts Head Villa from anywhere on the island isn't easy but absolutely worth the effort! We drove from Piccard/Portsmouth and stopped on the way in Roseau , to visit the Botanical Gardens and hike Morne Bruce, so the drive up to this point was normal/fairly easy. However, once you get out of Roseau there are stretches where the road gets very hilly and curvy - do you use your horn as much as you feel comfortable - that's basically the only thing that prevents you from hitting a truck or a shuttle - who drive in my opinion wayyyy to comfortably considering the opposite direction traffic on Dominica :) Once you are back on the sea level it's easy and flat - that's where you will arrive also to Scotts Head.

Once it the village grab a bite at any of the local place (we did at Chez Wen and would recommend it) as most likely you spent some time getting here and trust me once at the Pinnacles you will want to spend even more :) so MANDATORY LUNCH BREAK and to settle down is a must I say :) the views are really pretty already on the sea level, trust me!

Drive up to the Scott's Head Cannons; the little strip of land is covered in stones so drive slowly but once that is passed the drive up the hill is fairly easy on gear 1 or 2 at most :) the cement trails narrow down as you go up so be careful not to scratch your wheels - it's perfectly fine to drive up if you ever wondered (I did and was hesitant whether that's a smart thing to do before we went but I assure you it's perfectly fine and also recommended so you have more time up the hill to absorb the views)

The views are unparalleled - this is super unique place for both Dominica and Caribbean standards so enjoy it as long as you want, it deserves it!

TIP: take your time and enjoy this stop, it's time consuming to get here and tiresome but it's so worth it, trust me

This is a gorgeous spot!

I'm not sure if Scott's Head Pinnacles is exactly the right thing to review, but we did a ship's tour to this area in Dominica. It is absolutely lovely. We hiked up to the top of this big hill, and the views of where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic are just awesome. It is a place worth checking out for a short time at least!

Great Views of Dominica Island
Dec. 2019
The views from Scotts Head are great and it is well worth the short walk up the hill. There is enough space at the bottom that you can park a car pretty much where you want and walk from there. No guide is needed if you have a rental car, unlike some other parts of Dominica where you can easily get lost in the dense jungle with footpaths not clearly marked. Scotts Head is small so no problem going alone to enjoy the views. If you can catch a brief rain shower then you can also see a beautiful rainbow in front of the island!

Great viewpoint - you are at the end of the road Southwest
Aug. 2018 • Family
This place is located at the southwest coast of Dominica.
Villagers told us we can go up with SUV but we parked at the bottom and walked our way up. It is not a sandy beach but a rock access/beach.

The panoramic view of Scott's Head top is you see the Atlantic Ocean on one side, the Caribbean Sea on the other and the village.

There is also a Cannon at one of the view point.
It can be windy.

Please note that your journey to reach this place is at times sad. The destruction, caused by Hurricane Maria, of houses is everywhere. Where used to stand be houses is now rumbles or a ceramic floor. Certain section of the road has claps and a single lane deviation is used. Go during daytime. The indication/security/warning information is not the same as at home.

Desert Island View

The panoramic view of Scott's Head with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other is a most wonderful sight. You can journey up to the top (2 minute walk) for a better view.

Bathing/Swimming in the warm Caribbean side was just heavenly despite having to navigate the stony footing

Well worth it

Well worth the walk up to the top of Scott's Head to see where the two seas meet. The view back to the town and along the coast to Roseau is just stunning. Think this is is one of the best places I've ever been in terms of views.

When you see the actual point where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea. One calm and one choppy. God's creations at its best.

An Amazing View at the Top
Mar. 2017 • Couples
What a trek to get there through up and down winding roads, but it was well worth it once you get to the top. The view of Scotts Head is breathtaking, where a small sliver of road disconnects the two oceans – where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean Sea.

From the top, you can overlook the small town of Scotts Head and down into the clear blue water where small reefs are peeking through. Definitely a great site to take in the scenery and also would probably be a great place to snorkel.
