A nice challenging hike. A little more so than what most of the tour operators claim but certainly doable and quotes scenic. Make sure your guide points out the wild growing cocoa, bay and cinnamon. Falls are tall and the pools refreshing. Nice trip!

Very nice hike, with some clambering over rocks and river crossings. Expect to get your feet wet. We had a guide, which was for us a good thing. Necessity probably depends on your agility and experience.

Swimming under a waterfall was on my bucket list. After this, I can cross that off. We did this as an excursion on a 14 Carnival cruise in March 2016. It was a VERY strenuous journey to say the least. We trekked about a mile into the Dominican rain forest. We crossed the river about 8 times and had to... More

Our guide Nigel took us up to the falls (together with Victoria Falls and Wavin Cirque). Just stunning! The walk is nice and climby.

This was an adventure of a life time. The hike through the jungle, across the river and over and under the large rocks culminated in the best site my eyes have encountered. Water pouring out the side of a 200' cliff is something I only dreamed about. Now my dreams are my own experience. Don't have to be in the... More

I went into this hike expecting a much easier hike than I found it to be. When driving to the start, an elder of the village stopped us and was adamant that we should not go without a guide. She seemed most worried about flash flooding; the river rises very quickly with any rain- so be careful if you do... More

Hurricane Erika greatly changed the Sari-Sari Falls hike. Its a difficult hike now, climbing over huge boulders in the river, many river crossings and watching your step on the slippery rocks. It took us an hour to get there and less than that to get back. That being said, it was my favorite hike. Much of it was similar to... More

Hiked into Sari Falls today but there has been a recent landslip and the directions in the Bradt guide no longer apply. Access to the falls is along the river rather than by trails which makes it an arduous hike. There are multiple small cairns encouraging you on your way but I would strongly recommend a guide. We were expecting... More

Went to this waterfall twice, it's a good hike but not for everyone. Narrow paths and drops, crossing rivers a few times but worth it. Get a local from LaPlaine I highly recommend Melvin or Warrel go to Dianne's or Ricky's Shop or Aton's bar and they call find them for you. Plan a time and they will be more... More
