Have been to most beaches on Curacao and recently found this one as the signs leading to it are confusing. No entrance/parking fee, plenty of shade, with plenty of chairs. Cleaner than some of the other "free beaches". Located on the less developed west side...More
The beach is in fact beautiful. The snorkeling was OK - although the day we were there the visibility was poor. Keep in mind that tour buses stop there ALL DAY LONG. It feels weird to be reading on the beach and have tourists take...More
Very pretty but wear water shoes. The day we were there someone saw something in the water telling everyone to get out. Still not sure what people saw, but I got back in the gorgeous water again without incident. It's lovely!
Very nice beach with beautiful waters in a relatively quiet location but not that big as expected
Not nicer as other beaches we visited not meaning it wasn’t nice
But just 1 take-out place for food and drinks with limited opening hours and a bit...More
Wow. Just wow. This beach is amazing. I actually had to take a moment to sit when I first arrived to just take it all in as I was overwhelmed by the turquoise waters and the white sand and all the sunshine. Best of all,...More
This beach (also called Knip) is the nicest beach on the island. Stunning. I was blown away! It's a must see when you are in Curacao. Make a day of it and rent a car and head West! A lot of really nice beaches there.

Standard price for taxes is $50 per hour. The trip up to the beach is about 40 45 minutes each way so, the standard fee is $50 each way. However, I found a guy that was willing to give me half price per hour because I was using him for the whole day. Entire day cost me $200 instead of $400 but I got my own private guide to every little Nook and cranny on the island. Well worth it in my book. I had him drive me around all week. It was fantastic! All the finest out-of-the-way places that tourists don't know about. The best street food available also, that you were his don't know about. I figured it would actually be cheaper than renting SUV for the week if I figured in gas and the cost of a snorkeling tour. This guy took me to better places than the tours could ever take you. I am returning in a couple of weeks oh, maybe I'll see you there ! If you like, I can get you my guys phone number and taxi ID number.
The beach is mostly fine sand and very comfortable to walk on. However at the edge of the water will be exposed small chunks of Coral which can be uncomfortable to walk on at times. In the water it can be either soft sand or a mixture of sand and chunks of coral. I found it best to wear some water socks just to be safe. However, most people do not. There is a limited amount of cover & beach chairs available. Restroom facilities are . I did not notice if there was a shower but, then again I wasn't looking. There are also restaurants on the Hills surrounding. It is a beautiful place to be. Enjoy yourself!
