On a walking tour of Willemstad we spent some time at this floating market. Most of the boats are from Venezuela and the people are very nice.. most speak English or get the hand gestures. Very fun place to check out.

Interesting if combined with Emma bridge and/or other attractions. Just a few boats with their stalls on the pavement seling fruit, vegetables and fish. If you don't have much time in Curacao this is not a must see attraction.

The floating market is located on the Waaigat waterway a couple of blocks from the Old Market. Venezuelan boats bring fresh vegetables and fish and sell them from stalls on the quay in front of their boats. It is quite colorful and a good photo...More

Lovely fresh produce market however the vendors are quite pushy when u drive along. But they are a colorful sort and can barter prices if u really interested. Juicy mangoes ,lovely pawpaws, great oranges etc all just amazing when u are on a Caribbean holiday

The people selling their fruit actually live in the boats that are floating along the canal their produce is on the sidewalk. Lots of fruit to choose from and friendly people.

This is a place that is definitely worth a visit to. All kinds of shopping options are here. Several places to stop at for a bite to eat or to grab a beer.

Not quite what I was expecting really but worth a look. The vendors moor their boats up at the side of the road but the stalls are normal market stalls on the pavement. Some of the produce didn't look that appetising to be honest. If...More

The floating refers to the boats where the stallholders keep their stock, The market is actually along the street. Good selection of fresh fruit and vegetables and colourful vendors. Good atmosphere

When we arrived off our cruise into Willemstad, I couldn't wait as I grew up in The Netherlands myself and wanted to see how Dutch it actually is. Unfortunately I think we arrived on a public holiday as everything was closed and the only people...More

The market itself is anything you would expect on an island, however the thing that makes it interesting is that the goods are sold from boats that have been brought in to create the market. An enjoyable place to take pictures, and to be part...More

We are interested in visiting the Floating Market on our next cruise to Willemstad, Curacao. We saw something about the Floating Market on the Travel Channel, and would like to see it in person. Is the cruise port terminal near the Floating market? Or do we need to take a taxi?
