- nic0eMyrtle Beach, South Carolina129 contributionsAmazing clear blue waterReally really really clear water with amazing visibility. The rock walls on either side offer great snorkeling. There are chairs and some equipment to rent. There is a small snack bar. This was some of the nicest beach water I’ve ever seen.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 11 November 2023
- Carolyn SPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania12 contributionsStunning but rough surfSo beautiful. Your eyes won't be able to compute all the stunning shades of blue in the pristine water. Everything you need chairs, palapas, snack bar and smoothie place with the most happy, friendly smoothie making family vibing to good music in their space. Not overly touristy. We came on a day when the waves were quite powerful. I would not recommend this beach for anyone under the age of 7 or over the age of 70. There are coral and rocks upon entering the water and my teens got quite a few abrasions from being thrown upon the coral by the waves. But once you are past that, the water about 4 feet out is lovely. Because of the fierce surf, we were unable to cliff dive or snorkel, but on a calm day there this might be possible. Also, if you bring snacks, watch out for the beach pig who managed to swipe and scratch down our bag of chips! lolVisited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 24 November 2023
- ElainetsaiLancaster, California136 contributionsGrote Knip is the bestWe were here on 06 January a Saturday. There is a large parking area and it is crowded in the afternoon but the water is lovely. We snorkeled and for us on this day, we saw a good variety of fish. You have to snorkel along the cliffs where locals and tourists were jumping in the water. For me, of all the beaches we visited and snorkeled at Grote Knip was the nicest. Chair rental is 5.00 US. There are snack shacks, equipment rental for snorkels and masks and boards. I took a couple of photos that shows the crowds but everyone was nice.Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 January 2024
- PapaScarbelly19 contributionsGreat Grote KnipBeautiful beach! We rented a car from cruise port nad drive to here and other beaches north of port. Loved this beach. A bit crowded bug worth the visit! We would absolutley return!Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 January 2024
- BillandKellyMcGreenville, South Carolina106 contributionsBeautiful secluded beachAsk the locals and they’ll tell you this is the most beautiful beach on the island. It’s a bit tough to find (45 minutes from Willemstad) but well worth the drive. Probably not the best beach for diving as there’s no dive shop there, but excellent for snorkeling and swimming. Comfortable lounges with huts for sun protection but get there by 10:30 if you want one. There’s lots of shade under the trees a little further back if you’re running late, and snack bars up by the parking lot. If you go to Curacao don’t miss this place!Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 4 February 2024
- Ashley IPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania46 contributionsStunning water and wild pigs make this beach a must see! This was one of the most beautiful beaches we went to on the island. The water was unbelievably turquoise, it actually took my breath away at how stunning it was. The beach was pretty crowded but we did find a spot by the far end of the beach. The wild pigs made an appearance- a mom and four piglets. The mom was a little aggressive and we watched her grab a water bottle and get into beach bags. The water was very calm and lots of people were jumping off the cliffs. At the parking area there were a couple food trucks and we got a fresh coconut to try. Definitely a place to visit again!Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 6 April 2024
- Ana Isabel LBaltimore, Maryland146 contributionsBeautiful ViewsThe beach is not big and gets crowded, best to go early . Plenty of parking, water shoes a must. The views from the top are breathtaking. Did not see any pigs, but did see 4 very skinny stray dogs that we fed. Empty beer bottles left all over the beach from visitors that don’t know how to pick up after themselves. There’s chair/umbrella, and gear rentals, and food vendors.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 3 June 2024

This is a stunning beach with aquamarine water, white powder sand and an impressive backdrop. We visited here on a Sunday and the beach was really busy as it’s popular with the locals and the tourists. Part of the beach was roped off at one end for a private party with music played all day so had very much of a party vibe. The drive from Willemstadt took around 40 mins, parking was easy, entrance is free and two beds and an umbrella right on the shoreline was $15. We had an amazing day here and it was just like a little slice of paradise!

Beautiful beach with blue crystalline water. We visited on a Sunday, so the beach was very busy with lots of locals. Lots of BBQ, music and people having fun. Very interesting to watch, although it made it a bit difficult to relax (noisy/busy)
Despite how busy/packed the beach was, we didn’t have much trouble finding sun loungers and shade. By the time we left (early afternoon) the beach was even more packed, so it may be more difficult to find chairs/shade then.
This beach is on the west tip of the island. It can be a long drive, depending on where you’re staying.

Grote knip is a free beach with plenty of parking. There is a viewpoint giving beautiful panoramic views of the sea and two stalls. One sold pastries and corn on the cob whilst the other served what looked like Cornish pasties and some of the best smoothies and shakes we have ever tasted at about $5 a drink.
A set of steps takes you down to the beach. A set of two loungers and a parasol cost 25 guilder. The toilets cost 1 guilder to use. We would rate this beach 6/10. The sand is soft with lots of crabs scuttling over the surface but the sea was quite choppy and not that great for snorkelling but we did have a great time.

If you came for the beaches, this is one you definitely cannot miss! The water is clear and beautiful, there are rocks to jump off of and there are chairs and parasols for rent ($5 for chair; $10 for parasol). The chair service was good and the man working was friendly. Up at the top of the stairs is a good smoothie and snack bar.

Top 3 beaches in Curaçao, for sure. This beach is a mandatory stop for all travelers. The water is incredibly translucent and marine life is abundant. I recommend using a snorkel for a better appreciation. This beach is public, so there is no entry fee, just the rental of chairs (3 dollars each) and use of the bathroom (1 dollar guarantees you two uses).

Beautiful beach, with lounge chairs, free parking, and free entry. The water is super crystal clear, and you can get great photos with the beach in the background from the parking lot at the top. In the parking lot, there was also a little stand that sold some snacks and smoothies. The banana smoothie they made me was one of the richest I've ever tried, and the girl who served me was super nice and spoke Spanish very well!

It is a nice beach, offers enough space and great clear water. Of course it is crowded due to the fact that it is one of the famous beaches of Curacao. If you intend to enjoy a more cosy beach you definitely have to go to other places.

What happened to all the beaches in Curacao? Extreme weather and mud slides have destroyed most of the beaches up on the West Point. You can see the Government has done nothing to restore the beaches back to its original beauty, fallen rocks from above cliffs, abandoned restaurants, wild dogs and trash are killing this Island!! We went last 13 years ago, it was so sad to see how it looks now and I think they have not recovered fully from COVID. Honestly the beaches look beautiful in pictures but not when you get down on the sand.
