Highlight in Cuba

Once in a lifetime experience to swim and snorkel in crystal clear (cool but not freezing) water in a natural cave. Water is 22m deep and you can see each grain of sand on the bottom. Amazing!

A unique experience

How often do you get to swim in a cave? Probably never. We'll here you can. The water temp is very refreshingly cool. Not uncomfortable by any means. Plus you get all the typical cave features. It is a must if you are ever in the Varadero area.

Awesome Caves
Mar. 2020
We explored the caves with a guide, and it was amazing!!! The history in the caves is amazing, it was about 23-24 degrees but the humidity was about 98%. Hot for walking around, but worth the visit. The tour takes you in 750 Meters, then 750 meters back. Stalactites, stalagmites and crystals all over the walls.

Interesting and Beautiful
Feb. 2020
This gem is often missed by tourists, but thankfully they include it in the jeep safari. After you walk down the steps you get to swim in the cave where the water is quite warm in the shallow end but gets colder as it gets deeper. It's okay if you don't want to swim you can enjoy the view from above. Neat experience, although not my favorite experience. If I had to take something off my list it would probably be this because without doing the swimming it's not that great.

Wonderful experience!
deep, cool, clear water; you can go to the shallower, warmer end, and sit or swim; or swim around the deeper end through a tunnel to a little island area where you can jump offif you so choose!
There’s a newer, safe stairwell down into the cave with a deck for viewing or resting.
You probably wouldn’t spend much more than an hour, but will enjoy every minute.
We’ve been twice, I’d go again:)

A hidden gem in Varadero that we didn't know about until going on the Jeep Safari trip. Beautiful, cool fresh water.

Must see and swim in!

If in Varadero don't miss a visit to this one of the kind cave. Take your swim suite with you, the water is rich in minerals and is said to be very healthy!

Freshwater cave swim - don't miss this
Feb. 2020
There are a series of stair cases to walk down into the cave. There are two ladders off the dock to get in and out (one easier than the other). The water is crystal clear and refreshingly cold - think spring fed- There are shallow areas where you can touch bottom and there is also a stalagmite you can swim around. It is a very unique and fun experience.
