Monument!

Revolution Square is dominated by the Jose Marti Memorial, which features a 358 foot tall tower and an 59 foot statue. We were told Marti was an important figure in Cuban History.

The Monument of Jose Marti is a beautiful structure located on a very large open plaza, the Plaza de la Revolucion. Well worth seeing.

Huge tower-like structure of a non-specific design. It cost us 1 CUC each to go up to the monument and there is a museum underneath at an additional charge.

Seems like all the tours went to this location. Unfortunately, I didn't know much about Jose Marti but the monument itself it huge. It's a star shaped monument but you wouldn't know if from looking at it directly. What was nice about the area is that a lot of the old cars parked there to bring tourists so it was... More

Costs 5CUC to climb the stairs to the main platform and additional money to take the elevator, we did not think this was worth the additional cost, so we just bypassed and observed the building and statue from the street

Visiting the museum is worth it. You must go all the way to the top of the tower for beautiful views of Havana. You must look at the floor to find indications of what you can find in each one of the directions.... it tells you the km for locations in the Cuba and the world. We visited on vacation... More

They have a good museum, and this is an important place where one can learn more about the Cuban Revolution and its ideals and goals.

This is grand. Standing in the middle of the square overlooking the monument, habana breeze in the hair and the smell from the old American cars. The magnitude of what is the Cuban pride is hidden in this view.

I don't need to see it again since it's just a soaring monument in Revolution Square. It's important to Cubans but tourists might not be interested. If you are all ready going to Revolution Square then be sure to see it, but I don't recommend a special trip.
