Being renovated, but ask the guard about going to the 7th floor roof to look out

The guard had a hustle going where you could pay $1 per person to ride up to the 7th floor to take a look. It was hard to see over the walls of the roof area--but there were boxes... read more

To see the building is interesting in itself. There is a little bar on the 2nd level that really is a must to visit. It is full of photos of the guests served there from the 20's to the 50's. The view from the tower is also great.

The Bacardi building is very close to Central Park. Bacardi family used to own the building till 1960's and was the headquarters of the brand. It is a nice art deco building. If it comes in front of you while walking around you can take a few pictures.

I'd love to have seen the inside of this splendid building, but in any case it's worth a good stare from the outside. Quite why Bacardi needed such a huge building I can't imagine. What it is now, I don't know.

The guard had a hustle going where you could pay $1 per person to ride up to the 7th floor to take a look. It was hard to see over the walls of the roof area--but there were boxes and wooden supports strategically placed in the corners to give you a boost for snapping photos. Definitely NOT a place to... Very close to other attractions so look for it and go into the first floor --that is all that is open now. The hotel across the street where you can get a better look at the top of the Bacardi Building is closed for renovations.

Lovely art deco exterior is brightly painted and the lobby/ landing has interesting details including the old mail chute set in the wall beside the lift. Bacardi Building now houses many tour company offices.

We were on our way to the sale of the Prado when we went past the Bacardi building.. Stepped inside to get a look at the architecture – not a lot to see but if you like Art Deco, then worth a quick stop. Definitely not worth making a special trip however.

If you have interest in Architecture or Art Deco, this location is not to be missed. Unlike many buildings in Havana, Edificio Bacardi is in excellent condition. The guards at the front door are very nice and will allow you to walk around the lobby if you ask them. Simply staggering...

OK to see but certainly would not go out of my way or put on my must see list. The good news is it is amongst lots of other sights worth seeing.

The outside of the Bacardi building is worth a look as you're passing by but that's about it. I saw varying stories about the experience inside the building and poked around inside anyway. There was a security guard, but he could care less what I was doing and did not charge me anything. I took the elevator to the top... More
