Lac Bay is located on the SE side of the island. It has some resorts but is probably best known for its windsurfing. Give it a look if you have a chance.

Sand floor, good sandwiches , really cold beer, and a view of the kite surfers. Can't beat it, we make a pilgrimage out there every trip and it's fun to see the same server we have seen for 10 or 12 years. We used to...More

Highly recommend spending a morning or afternoon on the beach at Lac Bay. Watch the Wind surfers and just hop on one yourself and enjoy. Very nice beach area.

We toured the mangrove forest from a 4x4 off-roading vehicle that we booked as a shore excursion on our cruise ship. The scenery was nice, but not one of our best shore excursions.

Lac Bay is great for windsurfing and paddle boarding. The beach is really nice. The Beach Hut is our favourite spot for lunch or a few cold ones after a few hours on the water.

Lac bay is a great place to relax and watch the windsurfers come past. The water is very shallow and its possible to walk very far away from the beach in the water.

It is a nice place to see flamingos. You can also see huge piles of queen conch shells. There is a mangrove forest that is well worth seeing via kayak.

Yes, it's busier than it used to be with all the wind surfers and cruise ship passengers. However, it's still a beautiful bay, and we love sitting on the beach and looking out over the amazingly blue water.

Getting to all of the places you want to do will be difficult without a car. Brenda at H20 Bonaire does island tours as well as water tours so that may be your best bet. Bonaire is small so you could do quite a few of those... More
