The Mangrove Information Center is an excursion center. Visitors to the center learn about the mangroves, one of the most unknown and most endangered environments on our planet. The Mangrove Information Center offers guided kayak and solar boat tours through the beautiful mangrove forest of Lac Bay on Bonaire's western coastline.

Meet the enthusiastic and knowledgeable crew who will take you out on a guided tour by either kayak or solar boat. The center has single or double "sit-on-top" kayaks, easy to handle, especially for beginners. The solar boat has an electric-driven outboard so there's no noise and no pollution!

We're booked the excursion from our cruise boat AIDA. It took approximately 1 hour. As a canoeing beginner me and my friend needed a short time to get the hang on it. Afterwards we paddled freely and it was a lot of fun. Luke our Dutch guide was a great guy. While we were paddling he was explaining everything about... More

My husband and I are both windsurfers and snorkelers. We didn't know there was a high tide coming in until we were trying to snorkel (fins are not allowed) against it, amazed at how very difficult it was. We were told not to touch the mangroves underwater as it could make us not feel good, but above water was ok,... More

This was a very interesting visit to a natural mangrove swamp. You go through a Tunnel of mangroves and the guide tells you how they grow and the wild life that you may see. The trip lasted about 1 hour and was in an enviourmently friendly electrically powered boat. You have to walk through shallow water to get to the... More

We did the kayak and snorkling trip. They give you good and clear information before you begin. About what to do, what to expect and about the mangrove. Everything is with great respect for the nature. You go to narrow mangrove tunnels, very impressiv. We did not have any musquitos! But we saw many turtles! The snorkling was spactaculair. A... More

Our tour guide 'Lucky' Luuk was an amazing guy who thought us lot's of new things about the mangroves of bonaire. It was all very organized and well considered. Keeping the nature the way it should be was the main priority of the organization. Kayaking and snorkeling through the mangroves was an amazing experience and should be at the top... More

We booked the 2-hours kayak trip with snorkeling and it was great! Beyond expectations. After a fast check-in we got a very interesting lecture about the mangroves and the conservation efforts of this ecosystem. Our guide Luuk was very interested and enthusiastic in sharing his knowledge about the mangroves and animals around. The kayak s were comfortable and almost new.... More
