We drove up the coast road from Kralendijk, stopping at several of the dive sites on the way (like 1000 Steps) to admire the views and the amazingly blue sea. There’s a small look-out point when you reach the lake, with parking for about 8...More

We were driving around the island on our last day and drove to the Lake. Its a very large lake with lots of flamingos. We saw several up close and got some good photos. This is a very narrow road so be careful!

We drove alongside the lake as part of an island tour. For some reason we were not allowed to get off the bus at this point, so we could only look at all the flamingos through the windows of the bus. We got closer to...More

Although we did see Flamingos they were not very close to the road. U can even see ethem in other parts of the island even tho they are not concentrated like at the lake. It is on the South tour we did with Sunrise Tours.,

Lake Gotomeer is not the only place to see flamingos but it is one with a look out over the lake and the road will take you close to the lake where you might see some up close.

The drive there is the best once there you will see the flamingos. We continued on to Ricon and came back the other side which is also an interesting and safer drive.

There are good views of this lake and flamingos. At one area we were able to leave the bus and take pictures. From that area the flamingos are at distance. There is another area that is closer to the flamingos, but we were not allowed...More
