If you haven't seen Flamingos in the wild before then don't miss this opportunity. Easy to reach and great to see from the road side and further in towards the water. You can see it them and it costs nothing. You would benefit by bringing binoculars

Lovely to see and learn about the flamingoes in their natural home. An exciting tour from the cruise ship on an open wagon.

We took a private island tour in Bonaire, during which we stopped at the Flamingo Sanctuary. It was such an amazing place where we got to see these beautiful birds close up, along with iguanas and lizzards. The scenery is wonderful. We loved it!

Drive up to Lake Gotomeer and then thru the sanctuary and you should most definitely see plenty of flamingos. We thoroughly enjoyed the drive and spotting them in their natural habitat. Although shy and not usually close to the road, we did see a few close up and get some good pictures. I recommend taking a zoom lens and binoculars.... More

Stopped here as part of our Twizy tour driving little electric cars. What an amazing place, would have loved to spend more time here and definitely will come back if we visit again. Have never seen Flamingo's in the wild and to see hundreds of them scattered about the lake was amazing. As we traveled along the water I was... More

The good thing about this sanctuary is, you'll have no difficulty finding flamingos to watch. There are plentiful and they are widespread. We saw a few doing things that we didn't know flamingos did, like sweeping his head side-to-side close to the water. The sanctuary is one of the things that makes Bonaire unique, and we enjoyed it.

We were only in Bonaire for the day but took the afternoon to drive around the island. Seeing the flamingoes was definitely on the list of things to do and we were not disappointed. There were so many that could be seen across the lake. Many photo opportunities from the shoreline. The whole scenery as you drive through the sanctuary... More

It was fascinating to watch so many flamingos in place. They provided lots of great photo opportunities.
