We walked along this beach hoping to reach a beach bar but no luck. It is very small but would be OK for paddling in. The hotels are reachable from one end

This became one of our favourite beaches as it was quiet and had a turtle every day we visited at roughly the same spot. For swimming, the beach near the road has good access in and out of the water and is sandy bottom, snorkelling...More

We parked in the Esso (after asking permission) and then walked a bit to enter by the Fish Market. The water is quite rocky to get in at this spot. We walked further north and found a less rocky entry place, in front of the...More

We went to paynes bay via the sandy lane private beach that we were on but had a wonder round. You can also get to it via the entrance by no 1 sandy lane (the biggest gaff I've ever seen). We hired some beds off...More

A nice walking beach dotted with hotels and small and fancy restaurants off the beach. Having travelled to Barbados many times I found this area to be the best for swimming and just relaxing. There are a range of hotels at various prices so choice...More

Places to snorkel and swim. Just watch out for the 'shelf' of loose shingle pushed up by the tide which can make it tricky to get in and out until you master the technique!

I went all around the island and decided this was the best beach I've been for swimming. Clear blue water, perfect sands, palm trees, nice and quiet beach. Beach chairs are available. Only down side was loud catamaran cruises which stayed there for a little...More

I visited with some friends and some beers in the evening time and the water was crystal clear and the aura very chilled since there were very few visitors (week day) Only disappointment was very little natural shade but umbrellas we available for rental.

What a nice little beach. We parked at the Paynes Bay Pentecostal church for a donation and walked across the street, down a public path. Nothing negative about this place other than a few overly aggressive vendors. A simple "no thank you" should do. Some...More

We took a morning out towards the last day of our holiday to visit Paynes Beach. I wish we would have gone there sooner I would have gone every day to see this beautiful beach. The water is so green and against the white sand...More

I can't comment on the hotel as we did a vacation rental south of where you're staying. If I remember correctly, that hotel is just outside of Holetown, and there's plenty of restaurants and cafes that offer Wi-Fi in that... More
