Easy to find beach just north of St. James parish church. We went three times and found parking every time. Very large marked area for snorkelling within even larger marine park. Sandy beach area is quite small but there are lots of picnic tables under trees and washrooms on site. Lifeguard present. Within snorkel area there is very safe swimming... More

This is a lovely beach which has a lifeguard station. There are cross currents on a windy day but when the weather's calm is great. Good car parking, toilets and benches in the shade when it get's too hot. The reef is good for snorkelling. Great place

First of all, if you have your own kit, it does not cost a thing :-) The experience: The lifeguard on duty (Norman) truly did the island proud. I kept apologising for my multiple questions and his reply was always the same: "It's my job.... I'm here to help" and said with a genuine smile each time. He even went... More

We saw many groups having picnics and having a great time. The park is well set up for it. Perhaps getting the other outdoor shower going again would be good? There has obviously been much work done lately on the area. Too bad so much of the coral is dead, but that is the warm water's fault, not the park's... More

Some of the poor reviews on this FREE Marine Park crack me up! I've scuba dived spots that cost me $50+ and didn't have the abundance of marine life I found here. Sergeant majors, trumpet fish, a spotted moray, angel fish, squirrel fish, schools of what I think were blue tang? (cept I didn't known they swam in schools) parrot... More

This is such a good place for snorkeling but access was always a little tricky. NOt now anymore. They have two sandy access areas and a nice cement walkway. Lots of picnic tables, a good place to rent snorkel equipment from at reasonable prices, a public showers/change rooms and washrooms. Lifeguard station as well.

A well-kept, beautiful place to view coral and sea creatures! The water is clear and stays shallow for quite a ways, with great pockets teeming with fish and marine life. To snorkel with kids, floaties are essential, unless they can tread water for a long time. Water shoes are a good idea, because the coral in places is close to... More

We visited here in April and were disappointed at the lack of saline and not much living coral. There's lots of rocky reef but not much else. On a positive, the jet skis can't venture in but they still speed by beyond the buoy ropes which stirs up the water and you get jolted with the waves- the water is... More

While staying in Holetown we always enjoy a stroll along the beach, stopping at Folkestone for a while. The aim is to encourage local and visitors alike to care for and work to assist in conservation in this area.

From the moment we arrived the staff were very friendly and helpful - clearly passionate about the park and keen to ensure you get the most from your visit. The park is well kept, the sea crystal clear, with good snorkelling. Whilst we were there my partner lost his mask, the staff were very helpful, even arranging or Ken Rick... More
