The waves are huge and the current is strong. Small kids should be accompanied. Seaweeds on the shore but not in the water. The sand has a pinkish tint to it, very soft and not too hot even at noontime. No bathroom facilities.

There can be no argument that Crane Beach is one of the finest beaches in the world, probably in the top ten of the Caribbean but our visit was ruined by the 'beach boys'. We took the lift down to the beach after having breakfast...More

The Crane Beach is beautiful. It has powder-soft pink sand and clear turquoise water. BUT there is a dangerous undertow. It is on the East side of the island- and borders the Atlantic Ocean, This means that the waves can get fairly big and rough....More

Fabulous resort. Great bar with Happy Hour and entertainment. Lovely pools and very friendly staff. Stayed in a 1 bed rooftop apartment with own pool, very private and cool breezes.

One of the best beaches on the island. Cliffs surround a beautiful cove beach. Water can be rough, but great for body surfing and boogie boarding.

About half an hour by car or a couple of hours by bus with transfers and such. if you don't have a car you are probably better off arranging for a taxi with your hotel.

Yes, there will most likely be chairs available. There are guys who bring lounge chairs and rent them out so there should be plenty available. Also, I suggest you order lunch from Cutters. They will deliver to the Crane... More

Hi Angela, My family and I are traveling to Barbados over Easter. There are 17 of us going, 8 adults,9 children, The children range in age from 13 to 16. We want to visit Crane beach, but want to make sure we can spend the day with loungers, access to food and beverages and not feel like we are unwelcome hangers on at the resort. We will most likely try to have lunch or cocktails at the Crane resort. Do you have any tips on the best way to enjoy the beach without being a Crane Resort guest. Thanks so much.
