After a 20-minute walk from the ship, they were a little surprised to see us as they generally do not give tours on Mondays (even though we booked and prepaid for this tour online at $20 each). Not a problem. Derrick, the owner, was more than happy to give us a “private” tour. Talk about professionalism! He gives an excellent... More

Jumped off the cruise ship for a short walk to tour a quaint chocolate factory. Delicious tasting during the hour tour with a detailed and complete explanation of the chocolate making process from beginning to end! Book this online with the owner and bring home knowledge and some divine chocolate!

Melt in your mouth unbelievably brain boggling orgasmic dark chocolate. Visit the factory for their tour, but above all, taste all their products. Prices at the factory are less than in the local stores.

We just missed a guided tour and there were no samples left, apparently. So we did the next best thing and bought many different kinds of dark chocolate bars to try and to give away to our family when we get back home. We had a good chat with the manager/owner and enjoyed our short visit. We couldn't resist long... More

Derrick, the owner, provided an in depth and engaging hour plus class on chocolate. He knows his stuff and has a very engaging personality. Our questions were answered and, best of all, we tasted most of his single origen chocolates. Fantastic time for both the adults and our teenagers.

I know, you think "US$20 for an hour tour?" and you get there and the factory is pretty mini. But the enterprise is very, well, enterprising and the tour really interesting. You taste chocolate at various stages from raw bean and an antique roaster through to finished product, with detailed explanations of everything happening along the way. (Did you know... More

I did not do the tour, but stopped in to purchase chocolate. It's VERY good, and they pack it in a covering for you that will ensure it won't melt on the way back to the cruise ship. Only about a 10-12 minute walk from the cruise ship dock, right on the way to the down town area where there... More

This was by far my favorite thing we did in Barbados. Derrick (the owner) was such a great tour guide. Very informative and lots of sample tasting. Their chocolate is so great that we ended up taking some home with us. I thought it was nice that you get a discount on the chocolate if you take the tour.

I found Agapey when looking for things to do in Barbados for a day on the cruise ship. It is within easy walking distance from the ship (and you can keep walking and go to a beautiful beach as well). We did the tour, and it was hands down one of the best things we did on our trip. The... More
