One of the best beaches in St James in my opinion. Quiet, safe - I'm not confident in the sea and even I felt safe wading in. Saw locals with young children using this beach. Not as stoney to get into the sea if you stick to the right side of the beach. No hawkers or jet skis. Lovely soft... More

Love this beach. It's smaller and there are some rocks which can hinder you getting in and out of the water but it is a lovely place. We were told the snorkelling was good here but did not use our gear to check it out.

There was a lot of building work going on when we visited which marred the experience somewhat. It was difficult to find somewhere safe to enter the water although by walking along the beach there were a few access points that didn't involve scrambling over rocks. Very few people were using the beach. Once the building work (both road construction... More

I loved this beach - few people, beautiful view. We saw quite many fishes snorkling. Easy to get to - take the Speightstown bus (blue or yellow).

Batt's rock is a great place on the west coast for surfing. It has lefts and rights and works well over 3-4 feet. Deep water and an easy paddle out. Good facilities and parking make it an easy destination on the west side.

My husband and I visited Batts Rock Beach one day. We found most things in Barbados a bit challenging to find but we preserved and located it. It's not touristy which we liked and the water was perfect for swimming, relaxing and doing some snorkeling. Of the beaches we snorkeled off-shore on, this one was pretty good.

The beach is a very beautiful beach and has nice cozy coves as well...my only negative is that the beach is somewhat secluded so one or two person parties is not recommended.
