CALIX TODD & BERMUDA TRAVEL CENTRES
Jun. 2021 • Couples
The lovely ladies at ALL the Bermuda Travel Centres were genuinely patient, kind, and helpful. One lady at the Travel Centre next to the ferry in Hamilton introduced us to Calix Todd, whom my fiancé and I hired for a 4-hour taxi tour. Calix was AMAZING and took us to every place we had on our “must-see” list, and so much more. He’s knowledgeable, funny, and a good conversationalist. He knows all the local celebrities; in fact, he IS one of them. ;)
During our tour, I said I wanted to make sure I took home some of that beautiful pink sand. The next morning, we had a surprise waiting at the office of our hotel…he had left two very unique bottles filled with pink sand for us!! Calix is a GREAT guide!! I’m sure the ladies at the Travel Centres know how to contact him. (I would share his number, if I had asked his permission, first.)

Great place to Stop And Get Your Bearings. Also, great place to wait for the Ferry to Come.

We stopped in to see if there was anything more interesting than what we had on our list. They were very helpful and completely honest. Told us to go to the Cathedral, and gave us directions. Also, this is air conditioned, and right next to the waiting area for the ferry. I would rather have air conditioning.

There is a very nice bar on the roof with great views. Also an elevator to get up there. The drinks are a bit expensive, but the A/C and the views are worth the extra $ 3.

Hamilton and its history
Jul. 2019 • Couples
Hamilton has so much to offer. From the shopping to the restaurants you will not be let down. Although the prices are a little higher than most places over all the food was great and the shops were well stacked.

They were willing to call our hotel for us when we boarded the ferry, so that the hotel picked us up from the terminal when we arrived on the other side. Helpful, kind staff.

We went here as one of our first stops after taking ferry over. These visitor centers are an invaluable resource. They are just waiting to help you. Pointed us in direction of all of the good sights, told us which bus to take if wanted to go different places and where the bus stops were. Super.

What an eyesore! Staff were friendly. Opening hours do not match what is stated on doors you take potluck if someone is there. It is a marketing tool not much else. Retails goods that can be bought elsewhere.

Definitely the place to go if you want to learn about what's on and how to get around. Although, they didn't know that you could use credit cards to buy transit passes at the bus depot until I told them. well, I am sort of a native Bermudian at this point.

We by chance stopped in to speak with the people at the visitor's center. As it turned out this was a great idea. They really enlightened us on several different ideas we had and made our time that more valuable. Very friendly staff as well.
