I went to this Gallery 3 times while in Bermuda. I loved their small galleries and the current show of Peter Woolcock illustrations and political cartoons created over his long career. The Childrens' Gallery had an exhibition by school children of various ages - there...More

This is a small gallery which is seniors "friendly. " While we were there there was an interesting exhibit hanging. But the must see is a large painting of Queen Elizabeth. I can't imagine she likes it, but we did!!!More

Thanks for the review Joanns58. We are happy to extend free admission to seniors and students! The royal portrait you refer to is actually part of the collection of the City of Hamilton. The City of Hamilton is supportive of artwork and has both an...More

We enjoyed the art on display from local middle and high school students on the top floor. This exhibit is free but we were happy to provide a small donation. Some of the young artists are very creative. The main gallery is small (3 main...More

I find your comment interesting as your visit was to two distinct spaces with two different missions and yet it felt like one. I will be sure to pass this on to the Boards of both organizations. Please visit Bermuda again soon!

The national gallery of art is housed in a fantastic white building. We walked all around it and took many photos of the details. My favorite: the caravel on top of the building. Marvelous!

This gallery only has a few rooms but they are well displayed and pleasant to browse through. I come each time I am in Bermuda and the exhibits are ever changing. It is inexpensive and worth 45 minutes of your time.

Don't expect too much here. Located in the heart of downtown Hamilton, a portion of this small collection is related directly to the island of Bermuda. This is NOT the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art. Most pieces are of lesser known artists and some...More

Very, very few museums can be likened to the MET. What we offer at the BNG, in terms of the permanent collection and the variety of exhibitions, could be described as a small plate of fine artworks spanning many regions, styles and time periods, which...More

Thank you for your positive review of the Bermuda National Gallery (BNG). Please note that the portrait of Her Royal Highness is not part of the BNG permanent collection; rather, the Corporation of Hamilton (CoH) have their own collection of which this is one. The...More
