A venue still in use
Jun. 2021
As part of our day tour we stopped at the Unfinished Church. It was well-kept and is used today as a venue for outdoor events, like weddings. A beautiful site.

It is impressive. I thought it was a ruin and had a private property sign so I did not explore. I will next time I go to Tobacco bay.

Neat to see how these churches are built

10 minute walk uphill from central St George's, on the way to Ft St Catherine, Ft Victoria, battery Albert, Tobacco, Achilles, and Gates bays.

Did not meet the expectations
Dec. 2019 • Couples
Getting there is simple, but expected to be able to take pictures and walk around.... surprise surprise, there’s no access. You can peek inside, take a few pics of the inside but that’s it.
We were expecting something like the church in Antigua, Guatemala where you are able to walk around.

Neat

If you are making the trek to Fort St. Catherine's this is along the way, so you might as well stop. Very pretty, plague on right side of church states why it is unfinished. Can't access inside, but make sure to see the pretty little path on the left side.

Closed, but viewable

Yet another site we wanted to see on our St George day that was closed. I had checked the hours in advance and thought it was open. Luckily, there is enough to see without walking in through the gates. Daughter and his enjoyed the swing and the roosters. Cool site, even though closed.

A Curiousity
Nov. 2019 • Couples
Like many “unfinished” structures (the last I remember seeing was in Sienna, where the Church never got the final expansion) this is hauntingly beautiful. A lot of money went into the development of this church to be, which never got finalized. The wild chickens now “rule this roost”.....

Really an unfinished church
Oct. 2019 • Family
There’s nothing too exciting to see here. The church doesn’t have a roof and grass grew on the inside. There was a gate so we couldn’t access inside. There was a bit of history written outside of the church. The upside of this place is that it’s walking distance from Tobacco Bay.

Beautiful Relic of the The Unfinished Church in Hamilton Parish, St George
Oct. 2019
Situated within walking distance of the town square, this "unfinished church" has a special history as written in the following photos. Once there follow the signs to "the Beach" surprise awaits you.

At the top of a hill on the way to Tobacco Bay, it was an interesting landmark and good point of reference. We enjoyed seeing it.
