The bridge itself is quite unremarkable but the appeal is in the world record held by it. It is known as the World's Smallest Working Drawbridge. Worth the look but it is quite small and easy to miss.

Nice for an interest point of view and few pictures, came by bus (7 or 8) and ask driver to call for the stop. A very practical bridge
It is also possible to start part of the railway trail from here, north and south and there is a good petrol station at the start for refreshments and toilets

I mean it, its the smallest drawbridge in the world about 12 inches wide. Opens for the masts of small sail boats to pass. Unique and interesting

Somerset Bridge is the world's smallest working drawbridge. Shown on a 1624 map, it allows the passage of the Bermuda dingy sailboat masts (non-stayed masts). It spans only 22 inches (56 cm). Roads crews block the road and open the hinged section by hand. It is featured on the Bermudan 2009-serise $5 bank note.

beautiful views from both side of the bridge. A small parking area where you can go to water, buy fresh catch or go to the store. A short visit on a short bridge. No longer used.

Pretty stop for pictures at this unique draw bridge. There is a small parking area right over the bridge so you can safely stop for a picture. Worth the 10 minutes just to say you have seen it.

We drove over this bridge quite a few time both on a bus and in the Twizy we rented. We didn't know it was a bridge let alone the smallest drawbridge until we were told about it. It is a nice bridge and nice to have a look at

I have been driven over this bridge a dozen times but this time we got to stop there to appreciate it. It is a functional drawbridge. Nice photo op. The fish are there waiting for you to feed them.

This is a 5 minute stop at most, but kind of interesting. If your going to see Fort Scaur, you can grab the Railway Trail from the fort and quickly get to this bridge for a few pictures. There is a bus stop close by.

We stayed in I believe it was garden house in May 1981 while racing Tornado catamarans in the North American championships. Our host had chained herself to the bridge to keep it from being widened. Is it still the same width or did it fall victim to political pressures. Is the lady we stayed with still alive?
We are thouroughly enjoying the Americas Cut events from Florida. We had to sit out a couple days of racing because of lack of wind.
