Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Seroe Colorado is at the very northeast end of Aruba and very rural. With a regular car, you can drive off-road and head toward the water. There's so much space that you can have acres to yourself.

Came here for the sweeping views from this southeastern tip of Aruba.

No idea if this unusually shaped lighthouse is working anymore. Poles for aerial power/comms lines no longer seem connected.

Wind farm, crashing waves and glimpses of the National Park to the north, San Nicholas, the refinery, and the dirt roads in Sero Colorado to the west, Baby Beach and Rogers Beach to the S/SW, and the ocean to the east.

Easy to get to by compact car. Road gets a little narrow and the uphill angles make you hope any other opposing driver is careful, but worth a side trip.

Remains of what looks like a circular cannon mount or foundation of a structure on the north side of the parking area, and some excavation off of the south side of the parking area.

Rock here shows the volcanic origin of Aruba... Just be careful walking around the parking lot, esp with any kids, due to broken glass from beer bottles all around.

The “Lighthouse" is just a small turret. Around it are the remains of the four gun emplacements, which were built in the Second World War and actually were used. It is nice to see such pieces of history
The hill is rather bare, but the road to it has nice rocks and there is a nice view. Beware of the cacti when you go out for a walk.

If you are a geology nerd, your brain will explode.

This is not the traditional, historic lighthouse we tend to picture, but it is at an incredibly beautiful point. Just a few hundered feet northeast of the lighthouse is the natural bridge (down low near the surf). Do watch for rocks and cactii as you walk!

If you nerds look carefully, you will see the remains of the lava that lifted the coral reef out of the water and made it a hill!

It’s a bit of a drive and you do not need a 4WD, but the view is worth it!

Not far from Baby Beach and Rodgers Beach is the Colorado Lighthouse. Set up on a high point the lighthouse itself is nothing to see, but the views from this point are amazing. Great place for some pictures.

The drive to the south "lighthouse" is about a 90 min drive from the hotel area on the northwest side of the island, but the views of the surf are gorgeous. The walk from the parking area to the best views is about 1/4 mile down a dirt road. The "lighthouse" at the South end is small compared to the lighthouse on the Northside! It's more of a light box.

Let me start by saying that it is nothing like the California lighthouse because it was torn down and replaced by what others have posted (pictures).

There is plenty of parking but no restroom facilities anywhere around.

Wear boots or tennis shoes and walk down the hill to get a spectacular ocean view. And keep in mind Venezuela is only about 17 miles away.

Very little information available on the history of the lighthouse. Why no guides on site to help those interested in history. Come on Aruba step it up

I can best describe this area as fiercely beautiful. The point is surrounded by volcanic rock, a constant stiff wind, and crashing waves. The views are spectacular, and you can see 360 degree views from high points. Recommend hiking boots or tennis shoes, very rocky and not the best walking with sandals or flip flops. No amenities or tourist stands up here. Just Aruba's natural beauty.
