This is our first Caribbean beach to visit (unless Cancun counts?)so we don't have much to compare to but this is a place we want to return to soon. It is clear, calm, and beautiful to see. The island is made up of coral and...More
Lots of shops and beautiful walkway to each hotel. The extra Aruba charge on everything was annoying. I probably spent an extra $150 in those charges alone. The island is ok, thought it would be a little prettier, but beaches are great!
Our ship was in Aruba from 11am - 11:59pm. So we wanted to do several things. Beach... sunset bar... shopping. So we got a room at the Holiday Inn on Palm BEach! We paid for a night there... even though we wouldn't be sleeping there....More
The water is aqua in color, but you cannot see your feet when knee deep because of all the motorized water vehicles churning up the sand. You have to go to Arashi beach for clear water. Way too many people at Palm Beach. Aruba on...More

The cost by taxi to Palm Beach will probably be around $25 each way. You will need chairs and to rent an umbrella because the sun is strong. Weather in Aruba is very stable.....sunny, breezy, warm. Enjoy!

We spent 3 marvelous days in The Boardwalk, it's a small boutique hotel a stone throw from the famous Palm Beach. It's super cozy, beautifully landscaped with exceptional stylish apartments on 2 floors. The hotel has a private strip of the beach with Palapas and beach chairs for free (with a booking system) at a 5 min. walk (you cross the main road along the beach). The price was not budget, but about the best we could find.
