We stopped by due to being big history buffs. It was OK but not much there. We walked around a few minutes then left. Cost us $90 Taxi ride from our resort. Not worth it. Very old & not well kept museum.

Great place for a visit, beautiful place, plenty of places to stop for lunch, pop into the museum for a trip through time and if your feeling fit take a hike up to Shirley heights for the breathtaking views

We went on a Monday with Almond Peters, who runs and owns Pelican Safari Tours (a must-do and we highly recommend his tour). We really appreciated seeing this site, as they have historical markers all around and a great museum. They have little shops and...More

I didn't see any signs about closures. I would think it is open year round due to the nice weather and being a World Heritage site

No moorings in Nelsons, its quite tight quarters, round the other side in Falmouth there are moorings and space for anchoring, it is a 5 min walk between the 2.

I pretty sure it was open 8 til 5. Not sure about transport there as we just rented a car. Easy to find and good parking in front of facilities. No problem driving on in a right hand drive, just beware of the pot holes all... More
