We did an extreme circumnavigation tour around Antigua and this was one of the stops. We got off the boat and snorkeled here and it was beautiful!

Coming from the original pillars of Hercules (Gibraltar) I am not impressed by the formation as it doesn't live up to its name. Yes they are pretty to look at but that's about it. I didn't find them amazing and i wasn't left in awe....More

We saw this geological phenomenon whilst on a catamaran tour around the island. It is quite spectacular and something we have never seen before. Well worth a view.

We visited the pillars via a speedboat tour of the island, it is only accessible via boat. We stopped off to get photos and to then go snorkelling in the area infront of the pillars. A lovely sight but easily missed if you don't do...More

If you are a nature lover you can be inspired to wax poetic at this natural architectural wonder. Carved out along the ocean this work of art makes man-made Roman pillars pale into insignificance. I appreciated this spectacular view as I circumnavigated the island on...More

I absolutely loved snorkelling at the Pillars. The geological formations under the water constitute a great little reef for the marine life. The water is fabulously clear and the diversity of fish is fantastic. Shame we had a comparatively short time there - I could...More

Fabulous rock formations that remind us of sailors entering a protective harbour. We now have no dangers of piracy or international territory disputes -- just welcoming attitudes of friendly Antigua.

These wave- carved "pillars" stretch for 100m or so and are quite impressive- evoking views of ancient Greece

Went here with Adventure Antigua on Xtreme Circumnav speed boat tour and were given about 30 minutes to snorkel. The sea looked scary and wavy but once you jumped in it felt wonderful. Swim closer and to the right of Pillars while facing it and...More

Snorkeling was fun. The water was calm, and there were fish to observe. A half hour is enough time to snorkel.

While the area is scenic, so are many of the other areas on the island. I don't think that I'd go out of my way to visit. I was diving in the area, so my focus was under water, and I can tell you it's a fine dive site.
