We took a day to explore multiple beaches on the Caribbean side of the island as we were staying on the Atlantic side. This beach did not disappoint! We had trouble finding parking at Turners, was not interested in the kid float park at Darkwood and stumbled upon Ffryes. We got two chairs under an umbrella for $15 and enjoyed a few hours here. Lunch was homemade and delicious (more pricey than expected -$20 for one shrimp plate, but very satisfying for two). The sand is pristine and the turquoise water color is exactly what we were looking for. Not meant for a snorkel beach - I would go to Turners or Long Bay for that!

We came here in late October when the pandemic meant that there were no cruise ships around. We literally had the beach to ourselves a couple of times. The bar/restauarant at the end (Dennis Cocktail Bar & Restaurant) has a really nice setting and the food is fine, but nothing special. Ffryes Beach is nice for swimming, but Little Fryes next door is better for snorkelling as there is a reef you can follow.

We visited 3 beaches in one day. Turners beach, Darkwood beach, and Fryes Beach. All 3 were absolutely beautiful and all 3 had very calm and very clear beautiful water with zero seaweed. Fryes Beach was the busiest of the three but not overly busy. I highly recommend visiting all 3 since they are close to each other.

The actual beach is beautiful and our port driver, Jan was friendly and timely, but this beachfront facility is mediocre and run down - definitely needs an upgrade. The lunch included with our package tasted just ok. We lined up for food and it was served to us but there were no seconds and only two drinks included. When I asked for another drink (all non alcoholic), I was told no more free drinks, I’d have to pay.

Absolutely lovely beach. Used the shade of the trees on the beach and had chairs and umbrella and towels from our home owners so didn't need to rent the chairs and umbrellas being sold (nor were they in great condition).

Gorgeous water, cheap, strong drinks at the little bars set up there and extremely pleasant day. May go back during our 8 day trip, although so may more to explore...

Great beach, really enjoyed our stay there. Had a great time eating and drinking at the bar, made to feel very welcome. Jackie has a great voice, make sure you get her to sing.

Best beach visited over the week in Antigua.

Lovely sandy beach. Good snorkelling but would advise that you should be a confident swimmer as it gets deep quite quickly.

Jamil’s shack was fantastic. Doesn’t look impressive so don’t be put off by appearances. Ate there three times in a week and no hygiene issues. Food was of a standard you’d find in a good restaurant but don’t expect fine china or silver service. Great memories of eating Ital, steamed fish and BBQed lobster on tables made from tyres. Partner Samantha is a lobster snob and said the lobster was as good as anything she’s had from fine restaurants in London, Paris, St Martin or Italy.

Great memories.

The beach here is lovely. Its a bit farther out from where the cruise ships dock. My daughter and i were thee February 3rd 2022. we had a lovely lady taking excellent care of all our drink needs on the beach. A nice gentleman took care of getting us chairs , a umbrella and WiFi so my daughter could play Pokemon go. The water is lovely. The view beautiful all you have to do is relax, and soak in the sweet island life. There are also some very lovely ladies that sell hand made jewelry, hand made cover ups all beautiful. If you visit Antigua i highly recommend you visit this beach and the lovely people who tend it.

One of our favourite beaches we visited during our holiday. The clearest waters and surprisingly quiet! We hired a paddle board and kayak from Cheyvone at Padenterprise and a jet-ski from a local.

Note, Ffryes was a little tricky to navigate to by car.
