The ridiculous rule of only guided tours before 1.30 was so disappointing. After spend your money we had a terrible tour of the house. The guide seemed to think that we already knew heaps and just threw peoples names about with no explanation of who...More

Nice little pub which is within walking distance of my house, was allowed to bring my dog into the dinning area which was a bonus. Tasted better food but can not ask for more given the price.

A lovely property with not very much furniture in it, and not a lot of items that belonged to Morris either. The property has only been owned by NT since 2003, and a lot of restoration has been undertaken. There are plenty of areas where...More

Lovely place and gardens. Quite easy to get to by public transport. You can play games on the lawn. Refreshments available too.

Not a great deal to see but what is there is fairly interesting. Unfortunately no parking at Red House, however, nearby roads have parking. Not far from a bus stop but not particularly easy to find.

Wouldn’t most of us love to live in the Red House! It has domestic proportions with some lovely architectural details, decorated walls, windows etc, as well as a pleasant garden. Sadly, though, there was almost no furniture or other items relating to Morris, or any...More

Lovely place in keeping with its Victorian origins. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. The photos and furnishings are fascinating, the leaded windows very beautiful and the wall paintings superb. There is small cafe but the coffee was very poor and stale

A most unprepossessing location. I had always meant to visit but never gotten round to it. We took a Addison Lee taxi from central London, which was rather pricey but it saved time and took us to the door without getting lost. The house is...More

If you want to see the house that William Morris lived in, it's fine & the gardens are lovely. However there is little to see in the interior although the guides are full of knowledge. I had expected much more & it is rare that...More

There is limited parking on the roads around the red house but watch out for the parking restrictions. It can get very busy especially if it’s a sunny weekend
