This is a lovely drive but really not much different than staying on 101. You do have access to Cape Meares and Cape Lookout SP and a few very brief glimpses of the ocean through the trees but if you're looking for a nice ocean...More
This scenic drive is nice. It passes lighthouses and beaches. You can go through the tunnel at a higher tide and still access the beach at Oceanside. The beach here has sand and rock. Agates are easily found. I have a photo of my ancestors...More
Nothing not to like on this peaceful drive. Great views of the coast here and there. Some lighthouses and other attractions along the way. Worth your time.

A backroad look at the coast line. Huge boulders at several beaches. Small towns, scenic views.sea lions, crab fishermen are just a few sites of our fun trip. Part of thr road is closed and you can back track or cut back to Tillamook Creamery!

We started it from downtown Tillamook and exited it in Pacific City. We were traveling from North to South. If I remember right there were signs in Tillamook. Hope I'm not too late answering your question.
