Stopped in as we were told that this is the origin of the "Bushwhacker" drink. We tried 4 with & without a banana in it. Drinks were ok, but not the best bushwhacker's we've ever had. Service was good with no wait. It's a little...More

Definitely a dive bar. Good hang out if you want to stay low key and enjoy being outside at the beach. They make delicious Bushwakers (I would recommend the banana gadiva-with fresh bananas) Nothing to interesting and it doesn't typically get out of control. The...More

We got in a little late and were crossing our fingers to find something still open at midnight on a Wednesday. The sandshaker was open, had an AMAZING live band, and made a hell of a drink. Vibe is casual, people are friendly. So glad...More

Ok, we wanted to try the Sandshaker's infamous Bushwacker so we drove out to the "home of the original" and actually found a place to park. walked in to a friendly crowd of regulars and ordered our drinks. That's where the fun stopped. These things...More

Years ago I heard a radio broadcast from the Bushwhacker Festival in Pensacola Beach. I learned how to make this drink and it is now a favorite. I expected a visit to the Sandshaker to be a trip highlight but it wasn’t. This is a...More

My wife and I went to Pensacola Beach celebrating our 30th anniversary. We both worked on the beach in the 70's and 80's, and we always go back to our local hang out when we visit. This time it just seemed sad. It was once...More

We heard the live music and were drawn to the venue. Bartender made great drinks, and although we originally were wanting live music, we saw the pinball machine! That was the highlight of our night. Great fun date.

The Sandshaker has a pool table and some interactive video games. It's where the locals go. There is always live music on the weekends.
