First, if you are claustrophobia, I would advise against doing the Inside Mines tour as you will be travelling through an exact stretch of the real mines, with some modern modification for comfort and walking though. It is a great experience and you get to...More

If you are visiting Jiufeng old street then this is not far away stop. The place has poor signage, so its rather confusing for first timer. Its open and free museum except certain attractions. Lots of stairs and walking. You need to walk almost to...More

If its a windy day, be prepared for it to be cold. The area can be exposed in some places. I found the war history very interesting but the actual gold museum side of things I didn't find that interesting. I can imagine on a...More

Visited on a rainy day. Our driver dropped us nearer to the museum as it was a weekday on top of the hill but it was still a distance to trek. It's probably good to trek on a sunny day. Upon reaching the museum we...More

It is not just a museum to learn about how they process the gold miner mined, but there are other attractions inside which you can learn about the living conditions of miners and supervisors,

With its air of historical heritage, Shuijinjiu
(ShueiNanDong, Jingguashi, Jiufen) used to be
prosperous and glamorous due to mining. Although its
magnificent semblance no longer exists, the peaceful
and beautiful atmosphere has persisted. With a wave to
the age of the gold rush, one can still see a glimpse
of its glorious past through the Golden Waterfall.
