This is a black sand beach that faces the Îlet Pigeon in the Cousteau Reserve. It is a must see. The Îlet Pigeon is fantastic. You kayak to the second beach which was rocky with clear waters. There was some to see there. But the...More

Do snorkel at the north end by the rocks. If you don’t have a snorkel mask, you can rent at “PPT” I think it’s called for €5 for 2 hrs!:) It’s safe. Wear reef safe sunblock!!!! Please. This is what you came to see. If...More

We originally arrived early in the day around 11 and decided to continue to the jungle and return later in the day. Glad we returned 2.5 hours before dusk as there were parking places near the beach. Be aware that these are metered parking areas....More

This isn't the greatest beach, but it is definitely a convenient place to stop either before or after taking a dive boat to the Jacques Cousteau reserve. The surf seemed a little murky (perhaps because of the almost-black sand), so we didn't try snorkeling here....More

Next to Malendure, small volcanic sand beach ideal for snorkelling with hawksbill turtles and green turtles! Amazing to watch them graze and come back up for air. No plastic!

We were thrilled that there are still turtles here, although apparently Hurricane Maria damaged the sea grass. We snorkeled off the far right side of the beach (facing the ocean). We saw about 4 large sea turtles, and one smaller (juvenile?) turtle. There was also...More

We spent a day here joining the scuba/snorkeling trips. Very nice diving, good guides and a nice atmosphere. We saw green turtles (tortoise?) feeding, we swam with schools of fish of many kinds. My family is now sold on diving!

The beach is a starting point for various boat trips and this is hurting the experience of swimming there and also given the crowds is not always the cleanest. Finding a parking sport might also be a pain especially if you come later in the...More

Until recently it was a good snorkelling spot as the sea grass attracted lots of turtles to the waters by this beach. Unfortunately, after 2017 hurricanes the grass is gone (or covered with sand?), and so were the turtles. Hopefully it will recover, but as...More

We only recall seeing people tied off; we assume due to it being a marine preserve. Don't know anything about the glass bottom boat pricing.
