At this time (fall 2018) the shuttle stop (#6) is not open, meaning the shuttle skips this one. To do the trail you must begin at Zion Lodge (shuttle stop #5) and then walk half a mile up to the Grotto. Some picnic tables and...More

We did this hike to kill some time and walk to the lodge. It’s pretty boring. Really not much to see on this trail. It’s pretty much right a long the road. It’s good for really young children.

Nice stroll between the Grotto and the lodge. Probably almost as quick as taking the shuttle. Saw some pretty birds that we hadn’t seen anywhere else in the park.

We hiked this south the 1/2 mile to the lodge. It basically runs along the road and there is not much to see. I wouldn't bother with it again.

If you are staying at the lodge or just having breakfast there, walk the .5 mile connecting trail to the Grotto to start Angel's Landing. Nothing special, but it's a pleasant and easy warmup for what's to come.

This easy, short (1/2 mile one way) trail starts at Zion Lodge and ends at The Grotto where there are a number of pleasant shaded picnic tables. The path is flat and has an easily navigable rocky section as you approach The Grotto.

This trail is short and flat, following pretty much a gravel road. Compared with Zion's other trails, this one is pretty boring. You can see scenery across the road, but you might as well be on the Emerald Pools trails or the Kayenta trail to...More

My wife and I walked the Grotto trail on May 26th. We decided on the easy Grotto trail to complete our loop trail with the Emerald Pool trails and Kayenta trail. It is a nice relaxing hike that cuts out one bus ride section between...More

This 0.5 mile easy walk takes you from The Grotto (busstop 6) to Zion Lodge (busstop 5). It's an easy hike but rather dull
