Closed because of land slide. I was very disappointed because I had gone there 35 years ago. At that time there were very few on the trail. This is accessible from the top but the park department had that tail blocked off. Not sure why.

Weeping rock is a must see
Aug. 2019
This is a must see on your trip thru Zion Canyon. Just the understanding of how and why the rocks are wheeping is worth the stop.

Hidden Canyon is a hidden gem

This is a great hike, and honestly a good warmup for the chains at Angel's Landing. Some great views on the way up, a few narrow areas with chains, and then you'll come to sign that says "Mouth of Hidden Canyon, End of Maintained Trail" - and this is where the extra fun begins! If you're up for it, you'll do some rock scrambling, the canyon will narrow, and eventually you'll come to a beautiful rock arch on the right. I found it especially pretty in the fall with gold and red leaves all around. Also, it didn't seem to be a popular hike and I think many turn back at the sign mentioned previously, so we only had one other couple pass us in the canyon. I would do this hike again!

Beautiful!

Keep going past the maintained trail. It's a pretty easy hike on the trail, but eventually you end up at the entrance to the real hidden canyon. It's beautiful and wonderful inside there, but you will have to do some scrambling and put in a bit more effort. If you have a fear of heights there are a few parts of the trail that may be a struggle.

Hard Work, Good Reward

This 2.5 mile, 2-3 mile hike is best attempted early in the day. The hike is strenuous but you are rewarded with incredible views of the canyon once you get up there. The trail follows along a cliff face to the mouth of a narrow canyon.

Family Vacation 2018

Hidden Canyon trail was challenging with the ledge crossings and sand. It led to a magnificent surprise at the end with this beautiful canyon that was cool in temperature, filled with more interesting features to climb or take pictures. There was even an arch near the end.

Awesome short hike!
Aug. 2018
I hiked this one after heading up East Rim for a few miles. About 500 vertical feet up from the Weeping Rock trail head they share a start.

The Hidden Canyon Trail was awesome! Beautiful views, cool chains to aid in ascent and a small natural arch at the end of the Canyon. Certainly a “must do” in Zion (esp. since Angles Landing is close!

Bring water and a sense of adventure!

Fun hike, mini obstacle course
Aug. 2018 • Family
Great hike that has some small obstacles to climb before reaching an arch near the end. My 16, 14 and 12 year old thought it was a blast. We did canyoneering the day before, so we thought the hike was pretty tame as far as the width of the trail. If you don’t have a lot of time, this short hike is well worth doing.

It's an OK hike
Mar. 2018 • Couples
This hike is very easy and short. Starts off with some switch backs then around a boulder with a chain (this part was actually cool!) then continues into a hidden canyon. Then... You come to a sign that says the hike ends. All around the sign smells like pee. In hindsight, we should've gone to do Observation Trail which we heard great things about. I would recommend this hike to someone that has never hiked before or looking for something very short and easy.

Good but not great

We did this hike before continuing to observation point. Hindsight, we would have skipped it and just did observation point.
