The view from this trek is unbelievable. Sitting atop one of the highest points in the park, the vista overshadows the more famous Angels Landing and stretches through the valley. It's a relatively easy trek but I'd advise show stabilisers if travelling in the winter months. We drove to the park in an Escape Campervan so we were able to... More

Hiked to Observation Point on a Friday. Crowds were minimal (more towards the start of the trail, then tapered off the further the trail continued). There were patches of ice and snow on the trail in sections that made it a bit scary, but overall the hike provided spectacular and varied scenery throughout. Switchbacks start the trail, but once into... More

I almost hate to describe this because part of its glory is that most people won't take that long a trek so it is fairly quiet. A beautiful hike, with lots of variety and the view at the top is breath-taking, a real eagle's eye view of the canyon. I love it, one of my fav hikes in Zion.

This was a very interesting trail. Very few steep areas, but a bridge and a couple small caves. For me it was one of the funnest trails in the park. It's a short hike, maybe only 20 minutes to get to the observation point. The view is spectacular. I waited for about an hour for sunset. I saw several children... More

This hike is not so well-known as Angels Landing, but it is actually more beautiful. It is strenuous though and takes quite some time to get to the endpoint. The viewpoint is amazing though and really worth the effort. Go there when you're in Zion. I spent 5 days in the park and this hike was my favourite!

This was the hardest and most rewarding hike I have ever done. The entirety of Zion is so beautiful and Observation Point showcases all of it. This is an 8 mile hike, up and back, with crazy intense switchbacks and incline the whole way. Not for the faint of heart, but if you're up to it I highly recommend it.

Visited in winter; its a relatively short hike from the road starting right at the East end of the tunnel. There are many types of photographic vistas/scenery on this relatively short hike.

Spectacular views await you at the end of this challenging 8 mile round trip hike. There is much to see along the way as well. Echo Canyon is gorgeous! More accessible from Zion Ponderosa Ranch to the east of Zion

With a bunch of friends we hiked this trail on the first day which is a nice introduction to the Zion Park. Not challenging at all, anyone can do it regardless of the age. There are many switchbacks and the end of the trial with he view over the mountains and the valley below is breathtaking. Worth starting in the... More

We only had our hiking poles and as hikers in our late sixties, we wished we had purchased ice cleats or traction gear, especially on the return descent. It is a fantastic and strenuous eight mile (round trip) hike through Echo Canyon to the top. The switchbacks in the first mile are steep and parts of the trail are narrow... More
