In 4 miles and up 2000 feet, but worth it when you get to the top. Long uphill stretches, but trail is good, and has switchbacks. Great views when you get there.

We did Observation Point today and we did Angel's landing as well. Observation point is more like moderate hike. It is longer than Angel's landing and gives you a break. Beautiful hike! We did it in 4 hours and we are out of shape. We...More

If you only have time for one hike in Zion, let it be the Observation Point Trail. It is 8 miles round trip and steep in sections but doable. The varied landscapes along the way and the view at the top is breathtaking.

This is an amazing hike. At times the hike was strenuous, the switchbacks help you to take a breather. There is a beautiful area that takes you from one cliff area to another...and then you climb again. It took us just under 6 hours with...More

I "planned" this trip three weeks out and didn't really have much of a clue what I was going to do once we got to Zion (only wanted to spend one day there). Four days before my trip someone I randomly met at work told...More

One of the most popular hikes in Zion. Warning - it is a bit strenuous so ask at the information center at Zion NP if they think it is suitable for you and your group. It's on trail so you can get by with comfortable...More

We did the East Mesa trail. We'd stayed at Zion ponderosa resort and it was only about a 10 minute drive from the resort the the car park at the observation point trail head. The 6 mile round trip took us about 4 hours including...More

This was a long hike up the side of a mountain with lots of switchbacks. It takes you to the highest point in the park where you can look down over Angels Landing. The views along the way and at the top cannot be beat....More

Absolutelt stunning views and start early so you have the trail to yourselves. Not a mean feet - is a tough and unrelenting climb but not as scary as angels landing.

We saved this hike for last because we new what the reward was waiting at the end. We saw pictures from observation point before going but nothing can prepare you for the view. No picture can give you the scale of the canyon. Being higher...More

I would only do one. Observation Point is behind, and much higher up than Angel's Landing. A more commanding view. Observation Point will take at least 6 hours round trip. Angels Landing is a bit shorter.

At the shuttle drop off...hike a bit and you can turn to go to weeping rock, or continue to observation point.
