Coolest hike I've ever done! Only go half-way if you're scared of heights ;) Did with my 14 and 12 year old. They were SO excited to have done this. I can't even tell you ... scariest part in my eyes was the first part. It weeds people out, which maybe is good, because only one path, so you have... More

OK, so I made it only part way because I am terrified of heights, but my rock climber husband had a grand old time. The hike up from the canyon is gorgeous and this is the most epic part, but it is not for the faint of heart.

My son and I hiked Angel's Landing. We had some trouble on the hike. The hike was very strenuous, but it was fun. The view was spectacular. We saw some mule deer near the trail. The Virgin River looked amazing. If you enjoy mountain climbing, you'll love this trail!

We went first thing in the morning (hopped on the 7am shuttle) and were glad we did - there were few other hikers around until the next bus came around. You also beat most of the midday heat. The hike itself is tough on the way up, but there are lots of places to pause and catch your breath. There... More

This is not for the faint of heart or people afraid of heights. There are many switch backs in the beginning of the trail, and then you come to the part with the chains to hold on to. Yikes. The views from the top are amazing. There is a reason for the name Angel's Landing.

The view of the Zion Canyon from the top of Angel's Landing is simply amazing, and a great reward for people who spent the time/effort hiking up. Definitely worth the effort if you can make it. I have been up here three times and each time I left wanting to come back up the next day. If you are afraid... More

Plan to start your trip early as it makes your trek easier and more enjoyable. Now I read all the reviews saying it's awesome and not too hard and decided I could do it. To start with Walters Wiggles are torture and killer on the legs....in my opinion that is probably the hardest part. Moving up onto the chains is... More

We visited Angel's Landing in the early spring and found it to be very crowded on our way down. We were able to drive through to the Grotto trailhead and find parking. Normally during peak seasons, you must take a shuttle to the trailhead. Once there parking was relatively easy because we arrived early. However, when we were done in... More

The specialty of this site is that the view changes with the inclination of the sun. I am not sure which are the best views, because I liked most of them and spend a good amount of time photographing.

This is a very strenuous uphill hike, especially in the snow. It can be dangerous at the top where the path is very narrow. You can easily lose your footing and slip. I highly recommend wearing Slide Stoppers or cramp-ons in the snow.
