This is a Nice place to stretch your legs. Very crowded area. Be careful and watch for children running around. They are a few sovereigns available.

Very few Ranger classes/seminars on the map, maybe due to being so late in the year. Facility does have some interesting films about the park. Nice selection of souveniers here. Rather small visitors center though.

Stopped in for clean restrooms, drive tidbits, and a fantastic view on a windy morning. The place was informative and got my Shenandoah NP stamp.

A nice little place to learn a bit about the park and take a break from hiking or driving. There is a small gift shop with Park items like tee shirts and patches and you can get your NP passport stamped too.

We loved the beautiful displays of the area and of how the Skyline Dr was built. The three movies (playing at this time) were worth watching and contained much history.

Every time we go to the northern end of the Shenandoah's, we always make it a point to visit the Dickey Ridge Visitor Center. Being older than the Byrd Visitor Center in the central area of the Shenandoah's, the Dickey Ridge Visitor Center holds history...More
