We were pretty sure, by the time we found our way here, that the park service is not actively advertising this great spot, but the view made the effort worthwhile. And you will have to walk a short distance uphill to appreciate the magnificent view of the Sierras to the east, but it's worth the effort. Signs at the top... More

Up the road behind the Grant Grove Visitors Center, a steep hill to wonderful Panoramic Views and picnic tables. Not a hike for the faint of heart.

We enjoyed the climb to panoramic point to take some absolutely stunning photos. When we were there there was just the two us climbing to the top such a lovely morning spent there.

All should stop for a few pictures along the Kind Canyon bypass to the roads end. One of a dozen places to stop and enjoy.

A really fantastic view point with a few nice paths to walk along if you fancy a walk. Or if you are just here for the view, its not far to walk at all from the car park.

You must travel up a narrow but not nauseating road. Then walk alittle upward trail to a fantastic view. Loved it.

We drove up here before checking in at Grant Grove. A very nice panorama, but I think that the vistas on the drive down to Cedar Grove were more dramatic.

I expected a long strenuous walk up to Panoramic Point. It ended up being a very short but steep walk. One we arrived to the point the view of Hume Lake and the forest was spectacular.

I've been to Sequoia several times but never went up here. Road is right beside John Muir Lodge. Amazing views!! Short loop trail. You can even see Hume Lake. After our view from up here, we drove to Hume Lake to check it out.

This place is perfect if you are not trying to camp out all night for an overlook of the sunrise. The parking area is about 20 minutes away from the northern entrance of the park, from then on it is another 5 minutes of easy walk to the vista point. Absolutely amazing spot for pictures without a crowd around, and... More
