We Climbed Moro Rock

Great, but tiring climb. My wife hates heights, but she loved this climb. Railings help...and the steps are tiring, but the view is well worth it

The Moro rock stands as a massive rock and is visible having a unique shape and size. Can be seen "Hospital Rock" parking lot.

Another great view and the ranger was a plethora of information! Closed when snowy but in the 3 seasons it is worth the stop and the short hike. You can nearly see forever and how thing "can to be" is part of the rangers info packet. Worth the stop!

We started up the rock in twilight, so we could be at the top for sunset and the full moonrise. The view over the mountain range and the valley was incredible! Portions of the trail were very narrow, steep and scary (for the kids), but that added to the fun and challenge. It was also very windy the higher we... More

While the distance on this particular journey is not long, it seems quite the opposite, but once your at the top, you forget all about it. I would advise making sure you have water and take advantage of the rest areas as you go up. I would also tell you don't look up as you go lol cause you think... More

I did this with my husband and 13 year old and it was doable. Even little kids were taken as small as 5 but be ready to carry them when they give up! Just pace yourself. The exhilarating scenes and views makes it all worthwhile. Buses are very convenient and on time

It was a nice view, you can see were it was burned by wildfires. Makes sure to go early, it gets crowed by mid morning.

This is a fantastic hike up to a summit that gives you breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Not for those who have a fear of heights. Amazing!

I am not the strongest by any means and my mother is 76. We both walked the trail and did it in flying colors.

If you like the StairMaster at your local gym, you'll love the climb to the end of the Moro Rock Trail. If you're afraid of heights you might not like it as much. I'd rate this much safer than Half Dome in Yosemite or Angels Landing in Zion, but if it was crowded it probably would not have been as... More
