I love going here. It was on a holiday weekend and it seems they have changed things up a bit. Holidays and weekends you have to park in certain areas and there are shuttles that will take you to the main attractions. I knew the...More

The best things in California are nature based. Stay away from the cities and enjoy the parks. Views are simply breath taking. The hike up is a little scary. The railings are way to short for my liking. Wear good shoes,a hat and take some...More

This short hike to the top of the rock is right up there with the General Sherman Tree. This hike took us about 20 minutes going up. My 4 year old was able to do this hike. It’s not too bad for those who are...More

Loved Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. We went in the summer and entered the park on a Friday. The lines weren't so bad but people have said there terrible on Saturday. We parked and hiked to the rock from the Giant Forest Museum. Short...More

Easy staircase to maneuver - although I did fall and break my thumb- some people are not courteous and run past you so hold on to the rail- breath taking views all the way up - at the top you will see evidence of the...More

If you have a touch of vertigo, be careful with this walk. Paved narrow path with some steps. Not a long walk but steep in short sections. Excellent views along the way and at the top >> too bad the view to the west (toward...More

For those of uncertain fitness or acrophobia I suggest giving it a try and turning back when you get uncomfortable. The views as soon as you leave the car park are excellent and just get better the higher you go. The drops on either side...More

We took the 350 stair climb to the tippity-top of Moro Rock. When driving from the Three Rivers entrance of Sequoia National you get great views of Moro Rock while winding up the hairpin turns of the mountains. My husband and I wondered as we...More

The trip to the top is a workout but worthwhile. There are many steps and narrow passages on your way. Take your time and enjoy the view along the trail and you will be rewarded with a fantastic view at the top of Moro Rock....More

I'd definitely expect snow during that time, and wouldn't chance climbing up Moro Rock if there's any snow or ice present on the stairway. That said, winter scenes in both Sequoia and King's Canyon are amazing, it's worth... More

We spent about 45-60 minutes at Moro Rock. That includes time walking up and down and waiting for people to "clear" to get a nice family photo. It is a beautiful view! Be advised that more time is spent driving up to the... More
