Beautiful views but the roads could be treacherous if during inclement weather. The upper part by Grant's Grove is much less curvy but still must be respected and taken slowly

Mile after mile of huge trees and hairpin turns. Be prepared to pull off the road often to take it all in.

The road is steep and windy. We did the get to see much due to the thick fog. Very slow moving especially when following bikers and slow cars that do not have the courtesy to let you pass. Very annoying.

Twisting turns and gorgeous views of Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park. Evergreens were lush and still moist from spring snow melt . The aroma of the pine trees will be a lasting memory.

it has amazing view with giant trees, you won't miss it as this is the way you have to drive through to reach typical tourist attractions.

I would say yes, but hopefully you have an experienced driver. :) The switchback curves can get tight, especially with on-coming traffic. We took a 12-passenger Ford Transit up Pike's Peak and over the Beartooth Hwy in... More
