A first and great photo stop after entering the Park. A brief stop is all that is required since there is not much trail to walk. Saw people climbing the steep hills to get to the top of the park, but that looked hazardous and...More

We drove all the way down the Generals Highway and I stopped at Tunnel Rock on the way back up. There were a bunch of people there at the time and I'm sure that's normal during the summer. It's not much more than a photo...More

you can take a picture as you pass by. Not much to see here. Just a big rock. Imagine driving under it.

This place is a good place to take quick photos. You can also climb up the rock but be careful. This is the first spot you may see after entering the park.

This was one of the first things we came upon, so we definitely decided to stop. There is a small pull off so a few people can stop. We climbed it - even though there is a sign advising it can be dangerous. There is...More

I used to like when you could drive through Tunnel Rock on the highway into Sequoia. After the road was rerouted it became just a short stop for a photo opportunity on the side of the road. Still an interesting natural feature, just not the...More

If it was not close to the road, we probably would not have stopped. However, since it was right along the road -- it was worth a quick photo stop. Not much to see here -- but it is interesting to definitely get out and...More

Great place to stop and take your touristy picture on the way up to see the Sequoia's. Fun place to take multiple funny angle shots of you holding up the rock and such. If you are adventurous there is a small trail around the left...More

Not far from the park entrance (south side), this hanging rock is the first spot worth stopping on the way to Forrest. It’s possible to walk up to the top, where views are nice over the river valley.

I can see why they diverted the road, it would be a tight squeeze through there. Very impressive little feature and a great view of the valley from the car park, but ultimately it is just a little stop'n'shoot photo spot that you'll enjoy for...More

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think around 1999 or 2000. The park widen the whole generals highway. The pavement looks to be about that age as well.
