Ok. This isn't given enough credit. I went at sunrise, and it was truly amazing to look out and see a forest of Saguaro trees. Each tree had their own personality and was spectacular in its own right. I jumped out of the car and climbed up one of the hills and looked out into the vast desert. I felt... More

This is part of the Bajada Loop Drive in Saguaro National Park East. Bump dirt road that is well maintained and readily passable with a sedan car. Enjoy the beautiful cacti and try to catch the desert beauty at sunset. You will not be disappojnted!

Mid March, this scenic loop road was no problem. At about 6 miles total, it gets a little bumpy at times requiring one to slow way down, but you're not out here for a Baja race anyhow, right?! Some cactus and desert shrubs were flowering during our visit which meant stopping and taking pictures. Signal Hill Trail is off this... More

Hohokam Rd, coupled with a portion of Golden Gate Rd, form the 6 mile long (9.7k) scenic loop drive of Saguaro West known as the “Scenic Bajada Loop Drive”. Although this loop drive is composed mostly of dirt roads, they are maintained and passible with ordinary cars if taken slowly. Although not quite as nice as the paved loop drive... More

As others have said, this is a nice scenic drive. It's not too long either - if you don't stop, it probably doesn't take longer than 30 or 45 minutes. I also agree with the recommendation to go at sunset. Be prepared for a bumpy dirt road. *if you like my review, I hope you'll click the 'helpful' button; those... More

Beautiful views of the setting sun through the cactus and mountains on our way back to Tucson after hiking in Saguaro National Park.

Excellent loop drive on unpaved road. There are several pullouts to stop for photos and take in the view. Best to go at sunset, you can see the whole valley engulfed in the orange colour of the setting sun.

A short 5 mile loop drive on dirt road, trails right off the loop road are the Valley View Trail and the Signal Hill trail, they are short and offer great views plus Indian paintings at Signal Hill.
